This isn't a full chapter or anything, just a breakdown of how magic works and what true magic really is, since I didn't cover it in the last chapter. My bad, guys!
Magic is the primary source of power for some people, but not for others, with each being unique. Certain magics can even split to create new ones, but if someone manages to reunite them, they will never separate again. Any and every kind of magic can exist weak or strong, it doesn't matter. What's important is that it will exist. An example of this type of magic would be shopping magic: if the user stops using part of the magic, leaving it stagnant, the magic splits and transfers to a person who is being born. That's why people usually try to explore their magic to its fullest potential.
True Magic:
Anyone with magic can unleash its true form, but for those below Rank B, it can only be summoned once a week. If you're Rank B or higher, you'll likely tap into true magic more often. For weaker mages, though, it's a rare feat, as it drains a colossal amount of mana.
But what exactly is true magic? It's the raw, unrestrained 100% of a magic's power—the ultimate form, usually sealed away because no one can sustain such force constantly. The sheer cost of keeping it active is astronomical. Even the strongest mages can't maintain true magic indefinitely, unless they possess infinite mana.
