He wanted to prove a point—that he had her wrapped around his finger and she could do nothing about it. And she knew he was right, but she didn't want to show him how vulnerable she really was. She sighed.
"What?" he asked, noticing her sudden shyness.
"Stop it."
"I'm doing nothing, what's wrong, Madi?" he smirked.
Madisyn rolled her eyes and scoffed as she continued eating the pancakes. "Are you sure you made these?" She gestured toward the pancakes. "They taste too good."
"Such lack of trust, huh? Yes, I made them. I used to practice a lot with my best friend."
"He must have taught you well," Madisyn nodded as she finished the pancakes.
"I'm glad you liked them. Any plans for the day?" he asked.
"Maybe get back home and study your files."
"Oh, that sounds so boring."
"I know, but your dear Vanessa will interrogate me, so I better study."
