LADY ALVIVA sat neatly, her hands placed on her knees. It was clear she was taking etiquette classes in preparation for her debutante ceremony.
"I see, Champneys," Louisa knew of the family. They were as prestigious as their name. But that was merely on the surface, but none of the ladies seated there knew it.
They were not really versatile with the business world.
"The Champneys are known for their excellent water manipulation. Very prestigious family indeed."
Alviva resisted the urge to scoff at her words. "Right, prestigious."
She knew there was nothing prestigious about her family. For better of word her father and brother were patriarchal, misogynistic, and sexist.
