ULRIC BALANCED on the branch while leaning on its trunk. He flexed his neck, trying to relieve the pain and stress of it.
"Good morning, Mr. Faceless." He heard Luella greet him.
"Good morning, my lady. Did you sleep well?" He asked, folding his arms.
"Yes, I did, you?" She asked, scribbling in her book, the new book the grand duke had given to her the last night.
"Strangely long, my lady."
Luella paused, as she knew why the night was longer than usual. She shrugged. "Perhaps it is the season of shorter days and longer nights."
"Perhaps."
There was a solemn silence between them before he chipped in, "The body was being arranged to its appropriate location."
