BRIGHTER HAD decided to head back to the dukedom. After all, the grand duke would be more upset that she wasted precious time waiting for Luella than just coming back home to be productive.
"What did you say?" He asked, turning to Brighter as she placed the books on the table.
"Lady Luella wasn't in the room when I went to see her." She relayed her words to him again.
He arched his brows at her. "You are joking, right?" Archibald asked. But without waiting for her to reply, he shot another question. "What do you mean by she wasn't there? Did you check other rooms or something?"
