EDIVA STOOD behind Nanette, as she replied, "A telegram was sent to his house on the night of the funeral service, but there has only been one response from him since then."
Nanette rubbed her palm, trying to calm herself down. All she wanted was for the will of her husband to be read. She wanted to know what she got from killing her husband. Surely it should be much, or at least worth something.
"Have Luella come see me soon"
"Yes, Your Grace," Ediva answered with a bow as she followed Nanette behind her.

Meanwhile, Luella sat on her bed and stared at the pile of boxes that was stacked in front of her. There was no way she could unpack these in the room.
It was just too small to fit them all.
