" I can't believe you have done this, Lettuce. " Nelle's surprised voice, along with the gasps of many others, was a testimony to Violetta's skills.
All the girls have their makeup and hair done by their own personal stylists. But, Siya being the broke university student that she is, cannot afford a stylist. Her dormmates could have easily had her styling done, but Siya hates being touched by people that she does not know. Stylists and make-up artists haunt her in her dreams.
That's when Violetta comes into play. Violetta, the make-up queen, did something that nobody ever expected- She styled Siya up. It's not like Siya has any superficial physical flaws. But, what Violetta did is magic.
Siya's olive skin tone perfectly complements the light strawberry blush on her cheekbone. The glow on her skin perfectly highlighted her heart-shaped face. Her sharp eyebrows complemented her witty eyes and the fake eye lashes added a softer touch. Siya has naturally sharp features, giving her a cunning look, a reason why people don't mess with her. But, Violetta softened her look, making her look more approachable. Siya's normal intimidating aura is now subbed by a cool witty energy.
" I didn't know Siya could look like that. " Astrid spoke with a hint of admiration in her voice.
" Siya, you allowed Lettuce to do that to you? " Aria asked. Aria is an especially bold person who can get her way with anything and everything. Yet she has never been able to style Siya up. So this came as a betrayal to her.
" I just felt like letting her do whatever she wants today. " Siya shrugged the taunts off.
" She is lying, I had to blackmail her. " Violetta blurted the truth out.
" What did you blackmail her about? " Aria asked, trying hard to pretend not to care.
" I am not telling you, it's a secret. " Violetta, in a casual Violetta manner, won't let the secret out.
" Like I care. " Aria is going to think about it at night and cry.
But, the important thing is. Everybody is ready. Now what is left to do is reach the venue.
A 10-sweet minute walk. And, it is a pretty enjoyable walk. Walking through beautiful campus is something that the dormmates do a regular basis.
" I hope Raymond Matts is coming, " Astrid said, admiration shining through her eyes. Like Siya, Astrid is a scholarship student—an orphan at that—a poor orphan with nobody to rely on. Life seems grim when it has had nothing to offer from the very start. But, Astrid built a life for herself and reached heights that nobody ever expected her to reach.
" Raymond Matts is about to go bankrupt. " Nelle commented.
" What are you talking about?! That's not true. " Astrid exclaimed, almost offended.
" Ashtray, darling, he is my uncle's business partner. And my uncle is a useless man who cannot do anything. " Nelle spoke as a look of disgust took over her face " Grandpa gave my dad and uncle an equal distribution, yet uncle is the one who is still bothering dad for money. " Nelle rolled her eyes as she spoke.
" Your uncle might be dumb but Raymond Matts is literally the most respectful businessman out there. " Astrid spoke in a desperate attempt to defend her idol.
Meanwhile, Violetta and Siya walked with hands in hand. Fingers locked.
" YoYo, judging by the amount of preparation that you have done, you have high hopes for tonight. Am I right? " Violetta asked Siya.
" Yep," Siya replied.
" What are your hopes for tonight? "
" I am in for a surprise, I have high hopes but no predictions tonight. I am all in for surprises tonight. " Siya is in for surprises tonight
