The morning sun filled the beach house with warm light. Lily walked into the living room wearing Chris's white shirt, which fell to her thighs. She saw him on the couch who was looking at his phone.
She went straight to him and sat in his lap, putting her arms around his neck. "I don't want to leave this place," she said softly, laying her head on his shoulder. Her face turned pink as she thought about their special night together. "Everything here feels so perfect."
Chris put his papers down and held her waist. "You think this is perfect?" He kissed her forehead gently. "This is just the start of our journey, sweetheart. I'll take you to places that will make this look plain - beautiful places you've never seen before." His voice got softer, full of promises. "And I'll show you even more wonderful moments that will make last night seem small."
