"Your wife," Ariel smiled.
Aiden closed his eyes to control himself from bursting out.
"Ariel," He opened his eyes and calmly stared at her.
Although he was staring at her with calm eyes, Ariel still felt his withheld tension in the air.
"Yes, Aiden," She answered, still maintaining her smile.
"I need you to tell me the truth, Ariel. What Abbey said, was it the truth?" Aiden asked.
Ariel went quiet. Was Aiden really waiting for her to say, 'Yes, Abbey was right, I'm an imposter, and I'm not the one you're supposed to marry? I just wanted to fool you and your grandma for the money.' No way.
She would rather chose to tell him her real backstory than to accept the lies and lose everything she'd fought for...including him.
"I-"
Aiden's phone suddenly rang and interrupted what Ariel was about to say.
Aiden gave her one last look and picked up the phone.
