The next morning, Aiden was the first to wake up.
He slowly opened his eyes to find Ariel comfortably lying on his chest.
He smiled and softly smoothed her hair.
This right here is what he wanted, just him and Ariel with no one in between. His thoughts went back to Eva yesterday, and he started to realize that the more he thought of it, the more it didn't make sense.
He stared at Ariel's beautiful face and smiled, how could his angel be two-timing him? She was literally by his side every day; how was she able to do it without leaving his side?
"You're staring again," Ariel snuggled closer to his chest, not bothering to open her eyes.
"Good morning, Angel," Aiden kissed the top of her head and wrapped his arm around her.
"Angel? That's new," Ariel giggled.
"You are," Aiden kissed her head again.
Ariel slowly removed herself from him and rested her head on her hand.
