"Perhaps I just have one of those faces," Lovely said without looking straight at him.
Now persuaded, Hwan was about to say more when "Dinner's ready!" Mrs. Jones's call relieved the stress.
As the twins sat around the big dinner table, Lovely couldn't help but sneak peeks at them.
Her anxious nerves were calmed by Hoon's presence, who was as composed as always. But Hwan's sharp, inquisitive eyes seemed to be studying her intently.
"Lovely," Hwan said suddenly, setting down his water glass. "Where are you from? You look familiar."
She swallowed hard, her fingers tightening around her fork. "I've moved around a lot, so it's hard to say," she responded ambiguously.
Hwan narrowed his eyes, but before he could speak more words, Hoon interrupted. "Don't question her on her first visit, Hwan. You'll come to know her in due time."
Everyone laughed, relieving the tension, but Lovely could see Hwan's attention hovering like a shadow.
