After hearing what Shayah said, she didn't waste any time. Joan was fast asleep when she scooped her up, and the little girl had no idea what was happening.
"This way, come on... we have no time to waste." Laura was led by Shayah and a few loyal servants, who then helped carry Joan to a dimly lighted hallway that led to an unknown location.
They emerged from the back of the palace through the servant's hallway after what felt like a lifetime.
