A moment into the silence that usually accompanies our time in the park together. Diego started speaking to me, he looked in my direction.
"What is worrying you today, your mood is down—way more than it used to be, did something bad happen to you today?"
His eyes were filled with concern for me even though we were just strangers who shared the same hubby, spending time in the park at night.
I have known Diego for over three months to trust him with some of my worries.
To clear up my mind and let out some stress, I decided to be open with him.
"My mum wants me to get a job and I do not even know where to start looking," I confessed.
Diego looked away from me when I said that. He then discarded the cigar he just finished smoking and placed the residue in a special box he brought out of the inner pocket of his suit.
He lit up a second cigar before proceeding to talk to me again.
