Makima suddenly appeared behind Kanji, her glare filled with a potent mix of hatred and anger. "You're just a human," she said, her voice dripping with scorn. "How much longer do you think you can endure against us?"
Makima, brandishing her sword Kami-sei Ryōto Burēdo, made a determined swing, aiming to sever the ties binding Kanji from the rest of the deities present in the celestial plane.
The forceful blow delivered from the blade cut through not only the physical space but also penetrated the fabric of time itself, disrupting the existence of an additional third dimension. Kanji, however, miraculously managed to evade the incoming strike, although the sudden appearance of this additional cosmic dimension disrupted the flow of the confrontation.
Kanji, his labored breathing and battered body, responded defiantly, "As long as I'm not dead, I'll surpass myself." Even in his state of exhaustion, his determination to persist and defy his human limitations remained unwavering.
Makima, her teeth gritted with the intensity of her disdain for Kanji, delivered a rhetorical question imbued with a mixture of frustration and exasperation. "You are a recalcitrant individual," she began, her words dripping with animosity. "Can you truly not comprehend the futility of your continued resistance? Surrender must be seen as the only logical recourse."
Kanji, his face showing a mixture of coldness and ruthlessness, responded truthfully, "I honestly don't understand the depths of your anger and pain. All I know is that we are on opposing sides, caught in a conflict greater than ourselves."
Despite his battered state, Kanji mustered the remaining strength to attack Makima, unleashing a desperate barrage of attacks upon her. To his surprise, Makima effortlessly blocked each of his strikes, her katana deflecting his blows with practiced ease.
Despite the weariness that marked his form, Kanji endeavored to summon the last of his energies to launch an offensive assault, bombarding Makima with relentless strikes. Much to his astonishment, she parried each of his attempts with remarkable proficiency, skillfully guiding her katana to effortlessly deflect his blows.
Angela, her visage graced with a malicious grin, alighted upon an elevated position before Kanji, her silhouette projected against the backdrop of the battlefield, a site of widespread devastation. She cast a knowing glance at Kanji, who knelt on the ground, and directed her attention towards the remnants of fallen deities and angels. "Witness the path you have taken," she taunted, her voice carrying a hint of irony. "You have vanquished hordes of gods, demons, and angels alike, yet here you remain, still mortal and succumbing to fatigue."
Angela's visage, her gaze exuding confidence, continued to bask in the victory of the battle, her words laced with a mix of triumph and derision. "Your resistance and resolve have been formidable, but your human vulnerabilities have ultimately prevailed over your commendable effort. There is no more effort that you can make; acceptance of defeat and surrender are the only viable outcomes left in your position."
Angela, her smile widening, nodded slowly. "Yes, we will seal you for eternity," she confirmed. "We will contain your power, ensuring that you cannot threaten anyone ever again."
Angela, her expression exuding self-assurance, slowly nodded in confirmation as she articulated her intention. "Indeed," she declared. "We will forever confine you, sealing your might within the impenetrable grasp of our divine power, securing the peace of the celestial realm and preventing you from posing any further risks to the order of existence."
Kanji, his resolve unyielding despite his physical state, proclaimed defiantly, "I stand resolute against the prospect of eternal confinement. I harbor no desire to be sealed for the remainder of my days, instead yearn for the opportunity to relish moments of personal bliss and the boundless potential that my life has to offer."
Despite the encroaching loss of his vision and the depletion of his stamina, Kanji summoned the final vestiges of his willpower to rise to his feet. Despite the precariousness he displayed as he swayed, he resolutely refused to succumb, embodying the indomitable spirit that remained within him.
Makima and Vega, circling and closing in on Kanji from separate directions, locked gazes with him, their expressions emanating intensity and concentration. They, too, acutely acknowledge the formidable combat prowess and steadfast determination previously demonstrated by Kanji, guiding their approach with measured wariness.
Vega, her voice emanating authority and resolve, addressed Kanji directly. "One can no longer deny the reality that you have transcended the capabilities of humanity, surpassing any conceivable limits," she stated, her tone carrying a decisive finality. "However, despite the extraordinary feats you have achieved, it is evident that you have now reached your breaking point. There is nothing more that you may attempt against us."
Kanji, his breathing labored, directed his intense gaze towards Angela as he addressed her, his words tinged with resignation. "Each feather granted you eternal life, didn't they?" he asserted, his statement carrying a weight of acknowledgment of her divine immortality.
Angela, her plumage expanded with a grand display as she acknowledged Kanji's statement, pausing to absorb his revelation. "Indeed," she confirmed, her tone conveying a sense of astonishment. "Each feather bestowed upon me eternal life, a testament to my divine immortality. Yet, the question remains, how did you become aware of this?"
The air around Kanji suddenly crackled with an intense and otherworldly energy. His body glowed with a mythical array of colors, a display of power and potential that had until now been hidden. As he spoke, his voice took on a confident and slightly mocking tone. "Allow me to introduce myself once more," he said, his smirk directed at Angela. "I am the ruler of the heavenly flames, Darling."
With a wave of his hand, Kanji unleashed the full force of his powers. The ground beneath their feet erupted into a sea of heavenly flames, the surface burning fiercely and spreading rapidly. Dust and smoke filled the air, adding to the chaotic and cataclysmic scene.
Angela, her eyes widening in surprise at the sight of Kanji's extraordinary power, quickly composed herself. She called out to him, her voice carrying over the roar of the flames. "Why are you doing this and fighting everyone?" she asked, a tinge of desperation in her tone.
Kanji's response caught Angela off guard. His words carried a mixture of uncertainty and resignation, hinting at the internal conflict within him. "I don't know myself," he admitted, his eyes fixed on the flames that surrounded them. "I just want to be with my mother. And as long as I follow my father's orders, I'll go as far as I need to."
Vega's words held gravity and concern, as she explained the unparalleled nature of the flames unleashed by Kanji. "Those flames are not ordinary," she informed Angela. "They are the heavenly flames, a mythical power beyond comprehension. These flames possess the power to burn even immortality itself."
Ignoring the incredible properties of the heavenly flames, Makima focused solely on the threat posed by Kanji. Clenching her blade, she launched herself forward, a flurry of powerful sword strikes descending upon him.
Kanji's exhausted condition did not deter him from displaying remarkable agility and combat instincts. In an instant, he swiftly redirected Makima's blade using his hands, halting her attack and blocking it with a loud metallic clash resounding through the smoky battleground, revealing his unwavering determination and fighting spirit.
Makima, feeling a surge of frustration and anger, clenched her teeth with a noticeable vein protruding from her forehead, her voice filled with emotion as she shouted in an outburst of exasperation, showcasing her growing agitation.
Undeterred by Kanji's resistance, Makima's determination flared. "No one will stop me from killing you!" she cried out, her voice filled with anger and determination. "I have come too stop your massacre." Her eyes were fill with tears remembering each of Angels of her's.
Unfazed by Kanji's continued resistance, Makima's resolve and determination remained immovable. With a shout of frustration and anger, she proclaimed, her voice brimming with intensity, "No one shall deter me from exterminating you. I have come to put an end to your destruction and carnage." As she expressed her feelings, her eyes glistened with tears, a poignant reminder of the anguish she felt for each of the fallen angels.
In quick succession, Kanji struck with lightning speed, delivering a forceful punch that flung Makima's blade away, briefly causing her to lose her hold on the weapon as she was knocked back, the impact forcing her to stumble.
Angela, perceiving the shifting dynamics, opted to withdraw from the current location. She announced her decision, her words infused with a sense of sinister intent and mirth, as she proclaimed, "We shall retreat. We shall regroup and devise a more effective strategy in our next encounter."
As she approached Kanji, Angela revealed her true intentions, expressing her admiration for him with an unsettling smile, making her malevolent intentions evident.
Angela, with a malevolent expression on her face, communicated her intentions, the meaning behind her words clear: "We are to retreat," she uttered, her voice resonating with a sinister tone, conveying her hidden agenda through her choice of words.
Kanji, taken aback by her proximity, inquired, his voice filled with concern and caution, "Why are you standing so close to me?"
