The Transfer

It had been exactly seventy two hours since I had last seen my husband, and I wasn't exactly sure if my anger and disappointment stemmed from the fact that he hadn't bothered to contact me at all, throughout that time, or if I was channeling all these emotions at myself.
He stood side by side with Cole, and just like the last time, with an older man and a younger one, but the only difference was, I now knew who they were. It was the Carson's, the family that had owned the library for generations. Eric Carson, the current CEO and his son, Lawrence Carson.
Although they had been reluctant, Ethan had managed to convince them to allow co ownership. Both parties had both come to a favourable agreement, and today, Ethan and Cole would be introduced to the library staff.
