They started to mount their horses as Josaphat suddenly walked up to Olivia as she was about to get on, "Listen here, slut. I don't like you; you are rude, aggressive and hateful for no reason. I don't care what happened, but I know you forced him. I won't forgive you." He walked away, leaving Olivia fuming. She wanted to freeze his innards, but she would hold off on that.
She started to mount their horses, angered, annoyed, and frustrated that Josaphat thought so much of her. No worries, she started to guide her horse as her calm faded away with each stride the horse took.
Olivia shut her eyes and tried to see the fields of Mon Contally, the flowing creek that followed through the wheat and grain fields. The horse started to pick up speed, and she opened her eyes: Mon Contally in flames, the fields in ruins and fire set to the world itself.
Demons flew overhead, causing havoc and eating people; then she blinked back to riding her horse with her group of heroes. She was confused. Was it a mental image her brain conjured up? She looked around at the group, and she blinked again: Maurice, torn in half, Leyton without his head, Josaphat without arms, dead and bleeding out.
She blinked; again, she was sweating and disturbed; it was almost like the universe wanted her to see this. They rode and rode until a time later, 6 hours later, they saw the stone walls of the capital reaching up, high, high up. As the sun came to set they decided to enter the long line of merchants, traders, and civilians.
They waited and waited and waited until nearly 60 minutes passed when it was nighttime, and they saw it; it was green and curdling, writhing up in the sky. It was like a star, yet not a star. It looked evil and disturbing, and when they got closer and closer to the gate, they saw a flash of someone, a certain coward with a horse, but before anyone could say anything, he vanished into the Capital's Darkness.
Some time passed, and when they got to the gate, they saw banners, red and gold reaching down from the top to the bottom. With a symbol, it was a hydra, a message to all supervillains to steer clear or die as they would be overwhelmed by the capital's incredible manpower. They were finally at the front when the guard yelled, "Step forward!" When they did, the Guard spoke up, "What is your business in the fine walls of the capital?"
Leyton spoke up, "We seek to pass through the grand walls of the capital, you know? Travelling Adventurers."
The guard seemed to look at them, "Adventurers? With swords? Magic Staffs? Heroes perhaps?" Leyton nodded, "Yeah, so if you don't mind us, we'd like to pass through." The guard stopped them as Leyton started to walk, "Just so you know, there's no such thing as Heroism in the Capital only Vigilantes if you aren't licensed to a city." With that, they started to walk through the city gates.
