The time passed, and noon fast approached, and they rode towards the village of Milton Hayes. It was now bustling with more people but not like the capital, which had tens of thousands of people roaming about.
When they arrived, Olivia was forced with Joseph. They got off their horses and headed towards their separate ways. Leyton going north, Josaphat and Maurice going west, and Olivia and Joseph heading east.
"So? Why did you whoever you killed?" Again Olivia was surprised but more or less just interested, so she didn't respond. "Did they try to mug you or something? If so, I don't think-" Olivia's sword was pointed at his neck, and with a quick poke, he'd be suffocating.
"I don't recall this being a Q and A session, so shut up and let's just do this mission." Joseph nodded, clearly scared for his life; he nodded like a scared child. "Good." They started walking and walked into a bar; it was a shabby bar with cheap booze, cheap tobacco, and cheap chairs.
They sat down at the actual bar itself; it was basically empty, with no bartender, no nothing. Suddenly, a man flew out of the backroom, "Sorry, I didn't expect anyone for a couple more hours since the rave last night."
"I do-" Olivia was about to speak, but Joseph unintentionally cut him off, "Sir, we aren't customers; we needed to know something. You being a bar owner, you hear a lot of things. We wanted to know what you heard about the legendary artifact you heard around it." Olivia was fuming in her seat as Joseph spoke.
The bar owner thought before giving his response, "I heard about a man called Razor Cut Bogdan, he said he had seen it. It projected an evil aura, but he was knocked out before he could claim it for himself."
Joseph thanked the bartender, as they walked out, and the bartender walked back into the backroom. Olivia spoke, "I think I heard someone say he was hanging around the area, we should look in some alleyways."
"That's a good idea." They walked into the alleyway, and when Olivia and Joseph got out of the view of the public eye, Olivia's eyes started to glow Crimson yet again. Joseph could feel the raw urge to kill; behind him, Joseph could feel the aura, and he spun around.
Joseph was slammed into a wall where he felt the impact on his back. Olivia pinned him, "Don't forget your place. Here. You aren't strong, you ain't fast, you can barely pull off magic and you think you have the power to interrupt me. How brave! I'll just skin you, you useless bastard."
Joseph was terrified on the floor, on the verge of tears. "What?" His voice was small and came out as a squeal.
"Oh, you forgot, you interrupted me. You bastard." She grabbed his hand and pushed it into the concrete as a tear started to flow against the side of his face pressed against the wall.
"I'm sorry!" He yelled as she finally let go, "Make sure."
