Brooke stayed and talked with Sadie, keeping her company until it was night fall. Promising to come visit her soon, she left and wheeled herself to the living room, where Thane had been waiting for the past two hours.
"Sorry for wasting time, Sadie was still shaken up and I was trying to calm her down." She apologized, realizing she had made him wait the whole time.
Thane shook his head, "It's fine Brooke, I was just about to head back home and grab a few of your things."
"My things?" Brooke raised a brow.
"I figured you'd want to spend the night with her, it must be tough for her to get settled in an unfamiliar space. Especially after all she went through." He said, with genuine concern in his voice.
