"You damned kid! How dare you steal from them?!" Serena raised her voice, while landing slaps on Brooke's face.
"After all the kindness they showed me, you dared to try stealing?! How much more will you embarrass me?!"
Slap!
"You're just like your father!" Serena yelled then broke into tears.
After Brooke had been caught trying to steal the egg, she poured all the blame on Brooke, and made it look like she acted on her own.
Brooke couldn't even say a word, not with her mother slapping her face senseless.
It took the intervention of the head-maid to get Serena away from the crying child.
"That's enough, I've seen all that needs to be seen. Serena, as of today you will no longer be working here." She announced, throwing a dagger in Serena's heart.
"W-What? Head maid she's the one who stole, why do I have to stop working here?" Serena asked, her heart pounding with fear.
