Chapter 214
Aaliyah
Turning around, I saw the glass door snap open, and the first person I saw was Amara. The corner of her lips pulled up into a smile, and she stretched her hands towards me. Holding the lantern with one hand, I chanted a spell I had learned over the years, and the glass door shattered, causing Amara to fall back. She had a wound on her cheek that quickly healed because she was already dead. She couldn't be killed anymore.
But before she could get back on her feet, I continued chanting, draining the life force from her until she fell to the ground.
Without wasting another moment, I disappeared from there. When I found myself in front of the house, I breathed out in relief.
The lantern's light glowed and pulsed inside. It was Tristan's soul, trapped within. Praying silently, I begged the Moon Goddess to let this work.
