My eyes narrowed at her as I remembered how she'd kidnapped me and brought me here.
"It must have been such a traumatic day for you," she said. "Would you like something to eat for breakfast? We have maids that can cook whatever you want."
I wanted to reject it, but then I realized I was hungry. And in order to start thinking about raising Tristan, I'd need strength for that.
"Yes," I answered.
"What would you like to eat then?"
"I will eat anything you are having for breakfast," I said.
She turned around to leave, and this time I followed her. Stepping into the long, dim corridor, I walked to the end, following her down the small stairs, and we made our way to the kitchen.
There were two young women doing the dishes. I recognized one as the woman who had come to my room earlier. When they saw me, they bowed their heads.
"My Queen."
