As I sat down at the edge of the bed, my mind swarmed with different thoughts.
Aiden killed Olivia.
My eyes burned with tears, hands clenching into fists. I remembered when I returned home that day and found Olivia lying on the floor, dead, with blood pooled around her. Jack had blamed me for killing his mate.
Aiden wanted to become the Alpha. He was just a warrior when my father held the Alpha position. He knew a warrior like him could not challenge my father for the Alpha role. First, because he had no royal blood. And second, because after challenging my father, he would need to kill my brother and me since we both had royal wolf blood.
So, he planned with Jack to kill the Alpha. In doing so, he removed the strongest obstacle. But that was just a stepping stone for him. He knew that if the murderer got caught, he could pin the blame on Jack, and everyone would believe him because of Jack's behavior.
