"Did you speak with the stranger or not?" I asked, wishing Aiden would say something about what had happened. I just wanted him to say anything to save himself from Tristan because I knew Tristan was more than ready to torture the life out of Aiden.
"I did," he answered.
I sighed. I had been asking him the same question repeatedly for days, but Aiden wouldn't say anything about the strange man.
"But we only exchanged a few words," he added.
"Does that change the fact that you knew the strange man?" I asked.
"Well..." He glanced desperately at the wall, his expression full of fear. "Because..."
"Who is he?" I demanded.
"He... well... he..."
"Aiden, just tell us what you know," I said.
His eyes moved to Tristan, and he quickly turned away.
"Are you afraid because Tristan is here or what?"
"Afraid?" he asked, his brows furrowing as he tried to mask his expression.
