Amara was dressed in a long black coat and jeans. She had a long scarf around her hair and neck, and sunglasses on. She had dressed this much to prevent the sun from burning her skin.
"She had vampire blood in her system before she died," Lucian said.
Amara looked up at us, and I saw bloodlust in her eyes. "She was fleeing from the city when I saw her."
"How did she get vampire blood?" Tristan asked.
Lucian forced Amara to sit down, keeping his hands on her neck. If Amara was really a vampire, then she had lost her magic. There was no such thing as a hybrid for vampires. Once you turn into their kind, whether as a werewolf or a witch, you lose your other part.
She's a vampire now—a weak one going through transformation.
