Chapter 59
Aaliyah
Three days later, I was glad my body had regained its weight. I didn't crave blood anymore. There were no heightened emotions, and I was glad to just feel normal.
"What are you thinking?"
I jolted at the sound of Tristan's voice. I was so caught up staring at myself in the mirror that I hadn't noticed him enter the room. Pushing the gown from my stomach down, I turned to Tristan.
Tristan was leaning against the wall, dressed in a three-piece tailored suit.
"Not really thinking. I was just checking to see if there were any changes in my stomach today," I said.
"You look normal," he said, "and enticing. Even now, I'm drawn to you."
He swallowed hard, closing the distance between us. "But I think we should wait until the evening."
My cheeks flushed with heat. Then he leaned down to press a kiss on my lips.
"Did you sleep well?" he asked.
I nodded, staring up at him.
