"Ahh!" I screamed as I tried to push. I gasped for air, gripping the edge of the pool as tried again. Still nothing happened.
I panted as my body braced for another blast of pain from the claw marks the baby was leaving inside me. My muscles clenched tightly.
When the next contraction hit, I let out a cry of pain. Blood continued to drip from my stomach.
My head dropped as I struggled to breathe properly. My vision became extremely blurry, and the pain in my stomach was becoming unbearable.
I squeezed my eyes shut as I felt my blood pool around me, my breathing ragged as I leaned my back against the edge of the pool. Water bubbled around me as I thrashed.
Tristan's hand was on my shoulder, rubbing me gently.
The baby shifted again, and I screamed.
"Something is wrong," Alicent said, observing my stomach closely.
"What?" Tristan asked.
