"Ali, we need to talk," I said, catching up with her.
She turned around, looking bored. "Talk? Talk about what?"
"About you," I said. "But first, let's go for a drive. Let me take you somewhere cheerful."
"I have a car, Tris," she said, turning away. "I can drive myself."
Just as she opened the door, I moved quickly, wrapping my hand around her neck and snapping her unconscious. She slumped into my arms, and I exhaled, looking around.
I slowly dragged her body inside my car and drove off.

I gently laid her on the bed in my room. Then I pulled up a chair close to the bed and sat down. The veins shooting out of her skin was dark filled with black magic.
Crossing my arms, I leaned back in the chair and watched her stir. I moved closer to check if she was awake.
I observed her clearly as her head turned to the side, murmuring something under her breath. She stayed still, her expression calm.
