Chapter 69
Aaliyah
Storming into Tristan's office, anger boiled inside me as I found Tristan sitting in the armchair. I had just heard from Aiden not long ago about the werewolves slaughtered in my pack. He told me Tristan had visited the pack house, warning Aiden about what happened between us.
"What's the matter with you, little mouse?" Tristan stood up. "Why do you seem so angry?"
"I am very angry," I said. "Why did order the deaths of werewolves in my pack just because of what happened between me and Aiden?"
"I never intended to kill them, but the werewolves were rather rude. Can you believe they blamed me for your brother's death? They believed I shouldn't be king."
"They were innocent!" I yelled. "My pack! My family!"
"Family?" He scoffed. "The same family that abandoned you the moment your brother accused you of his mate's death. And come to think of it, don't you think they could have arranged his mate's death to set you up?"
