Chapter 147
Aaliyah
After I was done making dinner, I served the food in two white dishes and carried them to the second living room, which was smaller. With Lucian discussing some things with the Elders in the other living room, I decided to stay with Hayley in the second one. We don't usually use this one because it is smaller than the other.
Having been a week since Tristan was away, I was very worried. There had been no news from him, and the Elders weren't doing much about it.

"You know, I'm starting to get concerned," I said, drawing her attention from the TV. "Tristan hasn't been home yet. It's been a week now."
"What if he's dead or, worse, wounded?" I asked, feeling regret pour through me after I voiced that question.
