Aaliyah
Sunlight streamed through the branches as I walked into the woods. What happened last night in the woods threatened to haunt me with each step I took. I felt bile rise in my throat at the image of the vampire reduced to ashes.

I blew out a ragged breath, running my fingers through my hair. As I continued walking, I heard the sounds of crickets and birds chirping.
