"The Divine Proclamation"
The game, "The Divine Proclamation", is rich with nuances.
The choice of race and class at the beginning makes a significant difference.
Generally, there are five races to choose from:
Humans have balanced attributes with no particular strengths or weaknesses. They can access normal quests and opportunities from most NPCs.
Elves have higher speed and a beauty boost, and can unlock exclusive elf classes later. However, their health and strength are low, making them prone to early death.
Orcs start with the highest strength, stamina, and health among all races, but they cannot learn magic and have a difficult time gaining reputation in human empires.
Dwarves are similar to humans but slower due to their short legs. In the mid-to-late game, they can craft unique firearms.
Merfolk excel in underwater combat but have reduced effectiveness on land and can only learn water magic.
Each race has its own advantages and disadvantages. The choice depends on the player's opportunities and choices in the game.
Classes follow a similar principle.
Once a player reaches level 100, they can reincarnate in the Rebirth Hall, but changing classes is difficult outside this.
However, there are many potential classes. Players can switch classes at level 20 by finding a mentor in the main city to become stronger.
Special and rare classes can also be unlocked by completing certain quests or encountering unique opportunities.
Most rare classes are stronger than regular ones and offer special abilities. It would be foolish not to take advantage of this.
Lucas Hayes knew all these details perfectly.
Typically, he would choose to be a human mage, given his prior experience.
But since this is a fresh start and he has so much information, choosing a standard start would be a waste.
In his previous life, many methods to obtain special classes were well-publicized but extremely difficult.
However, he remembered a class that could be planned for right from the start—limited to the launch day!
That's what he was doing now.
By refusing to create a character in the Genesis Temple and instead heading in the opposite direction, players could reach the Cataclysmic Sacrificial Altar.
By fervently praying before the statue and sacrificing their soul, they could gain immense power!
This unlocked the rare class, Cataclysmic Follower.
This class is exceptionally powerful, far surpassing other standard classes. Players receive gifts from the Cataclysmic Being, with significant boosts to strength, agility, intelligence, and stamina. It offers exceptional defensive capabilities and magic resistance, can learn unique cataclysmic burst magic, and later evolve into the Cataclysmic Guardian or Cataclysmic Chantor. Eventually, players can even summon the Cataclysmic Fist to destroy everything.
In terms of power, this special class is unbeatable.
Whether early, mid, or late game, it dominates all.
The only drawback is that as a disaster-type class, it must use inheritance magic to conceal its identity in cities. Publicly displaying its power would provoke hostility and attacks from divine and holy forces.
But Lucas Hayes was just a player, not a resident of this world. He didn't care about such things.
Whether for the forces of good or evil, it was irrelevant to him.
He only cared about power!
As long as he could gain power, bully others without being bullied himself,
what did it matter if he existed in darkness?
In his previous life, amidst the vast sea of players, only twelve accidentally chose this path.
All of them became formidable powerhouses, known as the "Twelve Demon Pillars," enjoying glory and envy.
At that time, he was merely an admirer.
But now,
with a second chance, he wanted to be one of them!
And to be among the best!
He looked at the imposing dragon statue before him with eager eyes.
With hands clasped, he earnestly chanted:
"Great Lord of Cataclysms, Under the Endbringer's Crown!"
"You are exalted, you are mighty, you destroy all, you end fate, you trample the gods, you are invincible in the world!"
...
"Respected Supreme Sovereign, allow me to become your glorious follower!"
"Let me write the epic of your reign!"
Unbeknownst to him,
everything in this space, everything he did,
his appearance, his words, his actions,
all of it,
was observed by another presence.
The Cataclysmic Being he spoke of, the Lord of Cataclysms!
The fearsome Endbringer Dragon,
Ethan Drake!
