Chapter 73 - Chapter 76 :Blackcat

Kane's mind raced with questions as he gazed at the Soul Stone within him. "Blackcat, how did your Life Crystal transform into a Soul Stone? And why are you here, in this Martial world where Life Essence Techniques don't exist?"

Blackcat's voice echoed in his mind, "I... don't remember. I was already here, before... I was killed by those people."

Kane's thoughts swirled with confusion. "Alright, I can't think of a perfect strategy like an AI would. This system is useless, only good for buying and suppressing blood."

He pondered, "But Blackcat, how is your will still present after merging with me? Shouldn't it have disappeared?"

Blackcat's response was laced with a hint of despair, "I don't know... Perhaps my will was too strong, or maybe I was meant to remain... a fragment of my former self."

Kane's crimson eyes gleamed like rubies in the moonlight as he stepped out into the night. His raven hair, now grown long enough to reach his waist, danced in the gentle breeze like a dark aura.

As he soared into the sky with his Wind Rider Technique, the wind whipped his hair into a frenzy, and his eyes scanned the landscape below. The moon cast an ethereal glow on the world, illuminating the twisted creatures that roamed the land.

Kane's gaze fell upon a figure, battered and bruised, surrounded by human-like monsters. The man's sword flashed in the moonlight, striking down creature after creature, but more kept coming.

"He's fighting a losing battle," Kane thought. "These monsters are endless, and he's exhausting himself. He's seeking his own demise, trying to prove his strength against an unbeatable foe."

Kane's eyes narrowed. "It's a futile effort. He's not even using his surroundings to his advantage. He's just blindly fighting, driven by desperation and pride."

Kane's thoughts turned cynical. "Humans are so predictable. They think strength is the only answer, but it's not. Strategy, cunning, and adaptability are the keys to survival. This man is none of those things."

Without hesitation, Kane turned away, leaving the dying man to his fate. The moon continued its serene glow, casting a silver light on the dark beauty of this unforgiving world.

"In this realm, only the strongest survive," Kane thought. "And I will not be swayed by foolish emotions. My path is clear: to grow stronger, to survive, and to unravel the mysteries of this world."

Kane's eyes narrowed as Blackcat's words pierced his mind like a venomous dagger. "Your thoughts are devious, but you lack the means to execute them. You don't even possess the strength to attempt it, and you're unclear about what you hope to achieve."

Kane's face twisted in a mixture of shock and indignation. "What do you mean?" he demanded, his voice laced with defensiveness.

Blackcat's silence was oppressive, a heavy blanket that suffocated Kane's pride. He felt like a insect pinned under a microscope, his every thought and intention scrutinized and found wanting.

Kane's mind reeled as he tried to comprehend Blackcat's words. What was his goal, indeed? Was it merely to survive, or was there something more?

"I want to survive," Kane said finally, his voice barely above a whisper.

Blackcat's silence continued, a deafening roar that echoed through Kane's mind.

With a snarl, Kane removed his consciousness from the Soul Stone and he went towards the direction of Heaven Defying Sect. His thoughts seethed with turmoil, a maelstrom of emotions and doubts.

"What is my purpose?" he wondered. "Is it merely to exist, or is there somethin

g more? And what lies beyond survival?"
