The narrator smiled mischievously, "Well, Kane, you paid for their respective rooms, but I didn't specify which ones."
Kane's anger boiled over, "You're telling me I lost 50 gold coins because of your vague wording? I demand to know which rooms my money paid for!"
The disciples, sensing their leader's frustration, slowly emerged from their rooms, wondering what the commotion was about. The narrator simply chuckled, enjoying the chaos that had ensued
Kane thought, "I've started to create my own delusions, as if someone is writing about me. I don't know why, but it feels irritating." He thought, although he wasn't mad a moment before, he became calm and looked at the disciples and said, "Go and do something if you want." His eyes looked into their souls, and they felt a chill, but then...
Zhao Min spoke up, "Elder Fang Lin, can't we enjoy today? We've been traveling for so long," she said, her voice melodious and persuasive.
Ling Xiao's face lit up with excitement. "Yes, yes, yes! It's already 5 pm. We can do something... like drinking!" He grinned mischievously, his eyes sparkling with anticipation.
Jing Ran spoke up, his voice filled with longing. "I want to eat the bread that the elder gave me yesterday."
San Fe, however, remained silent, observing the group with an unreadable expression.
Kane's gaze swept across his disciples, his mind racing with thoughts. He nodded finally, a small smile playing on his lips. "Very well. Let us enjoy today. We can indulge in wine and stories. But tomorrow... we will resume our training."
The disciples cheered, their faces lighting up with excitement. Ling Xiao clapped his hands together and said then we can start
As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm orange glow over the city, Kane's group made their way to a nearby tavern. The sign above the door read "The Drunken Dragon," and the sound of laughter and music drifted out into the night air.
Kane pushed open the door, his eyes adjusting to the dim light inside. The air was thick with the smell of wine and smoke, and the patrons were rowdy and cheerful.
"Let us join the revelry," Kane said, his voice low and amused.
And with that, they stepped into the tavern, ready to indulge in a night of wine, stories, and camaraderie. Little did they know, however, that their night would take an unexpected turn...

And with that, they stepped into the tavern, ready to indulge in a night of food, stories, and camaraderie. Little did they know, however, that their night would take an unexpected turn...
As they entered, the patrons turned to look at them, their faces a mix of curiosity and suspicion. Kane's group made their way through the crowd, their eyes scanning the room for an empty table.
Ling Xiao, ever the social butterfly, quickly made friends with a group of rowdy men, laughing and clapping them on the back. Zhao Min and Jing Ran found a quiet corner, deep in conversation. San Fe stood by the bar, observing the room with an unreadable expression.
Kane, meanwhile, made his way to the center of the room, his eyes scanning the crowd. He spotted a lone figure, hood up and face obscured, sitting in the shadows.
His interest piqued, Kane made his way over, his movements fluid and calculated. "Mind if I join you?" he asked, his voice low and neutral.
The figure slowly looked up, revealing piercing eyes that seemed to bore into Kane's soul...
Kane's eyes widened as he approached the mysterious figure. The man's face was pale, with a hint of red, like a white tissue. His leg began to shake like a vibrator, and Kane's eyes locked onto the familiar yet disturbing sight. The man's half-face was burned, and his right hand was cut off. Kane's mind raced as he realized who this was - his former professor from college.
The professor looked up, his eyes narrowing. "What do you want, young man?" he growled, his voice laced with malice.
He looked at the old man and thought, "No, how can this be possible? He should be dead by now, and Earth is already destroyed by those otherworldly cultivators." He recalled reading on Earth that there are approximately 6 to 7 doppelgangers in the world who look identical. "Huh," he thought, "maybe that's what this is."
Kane's face remained calm, but his insides churned with turmoil. "Wrong person, sorry, senior," he said, trying to brush it off.
Zhao Min noticed Kane's reaction and was taken aback. Why was Elder Fang Lin reacting so strongly to this man?
Kane joined the group, and they began to celebrate, but he refused to drink alcohol, opting for water instead. The others were surprised, but Kane thought to himself, "These people are fools. This alcohol is a slow poison."
He thought about the true nature of the alcohol, extracted from the urine of a monster called Giraoh, a creature with the upper body of an orc and the lower body of a snake. The urine contained bacteria, viruses, and other impurities, similar to that of bats on Earth.
Kane felt disgusted, thinking about the people indulging in such a toxic substance. He looked at his disciples with pity, wondering how they could so blindly indulge in something so harmful.
