After the class was divided according to our chosen paths, I found myself paired with *that* damn instructor. He was standing there, arms crossed, eyes sharp as ever.
I glanced around, hoping to find someone else in my group, but the reality hit me harder than I expected.
"No one," I muttered under my breath.
"Huh? What are you talking about?" The instructor's voice snapped me out of my thoughts.
"Nothing, Instructor," I quickly replied, trying to brush off the slip-up. "So, what are we going to learn today?"
He grinned—a grin that sent shivers down my spine. "Oh, today, you're going to fight me."
I blinked. How could he say that with a straight face? My mind raced, trying to come up with a response, but the words were stuck somewhere between disbelief and panic.
So, I did the only thing that came to mind. I gave him a respectful bow and accepted his challenge, even though every fiber of my being wanted to run in the opposite direction.
"Excellent," he said, his grin widening. "Let's see what you've got."
This was going to be a long day.
The training ground was eerily quiet as I faced the instructor. The other students had already moved to their respective areas, leaving us alone in this space.
The instructor's stance was relaxed, but I knew from my last my that he dosent hold back.I took a deep breath, grounding myself as I settled into a basic stance and accepting the reality.
My fists were clenched, and I kept my weight balanced, ready for anything he might throw at me.
"Don't hold back," he warned, his voice calm yet moking.
I nodded, not trusting him to speak. Then, without any further hesitation, I lunged forward, aiming a quick jab at his chest.
He sidestepped with almost supernatural ease, his body moving like water around a stone. Before I could react, he countered with a straight punch at my back.
"Baam" aagh that was painful. I feel like all of my backbones are crushed. But what could I have done it was the reality that I had to accept.
"I told you to not hold back don't you get it" I did expect but I think he can tell due To their beast sense a inherited Ability of the beastfolk.
So I got up and used my shadow step to attack him again but this time around I was crushed again.
Then the tried for the last time again but this time around I was crushed again. Then I spat some blood and went unconscious…
"Wah" It looks like I am in inflammatory that damn instructor.
"Aghh" my back it feels like I lost my backbones.
"Don't try to get up you need few hours of rest before going back to the normal" said instructor x as I saw him opening the curtains and I'd I remember correctly he is the healing instructor which I was during the principles speech
"You really have a bad Luck to think instructor R is your teacher I feel sad for now And I don't know just how many times are you going to come here so let's familiarise Ourselves I think you already know My Name but I will still repeat it its x and what about you what's your name kid" she said while sitting on the chair in front of me
"It's dajit ans thank you for treating me" I replied to her.
"Oh it's no big deal and you will go back to normal after few hours as I have applied a potion To you" she replied before giving me a potion to drink.
"thank you" and after drinking it I suddenly went back to sleep.
I remembered my fight again I do need to improve a lot like I just due to his sheer strength he didn't even use any skills of his even in my prime I would have lost to him easily.
"Hey kid wake up…" I heard someone shouting as i woke up i saw the instructor in front of me
"So how was your first day from tomorrow we are going to start from basics and you are going wait 2 hrs after school every day.
I really want to curse him but i was too tired to do so, so i just nodded and moved on
When I got home, it seemed like no one knew about my injury. I made my way to my sister Luna's room, where she was engrossed in a book.
"Hi, brother. What happened? Why does your mana seem so weak?" she asked, looking up from her book.
"Oh, it's nothing. Just a lot of training," I replied, stepping into the room.
"Why are you here? Don't you have alchemy class?" she inquired, setting the book aside.
"Tell me the truth, Luna. What happened yesterday? How did you get injured?" I pressed, noticing her hesitation.
"I don't know what you're talking about," she said, her voice trembling slightly as she took a step back.
"Tell me the truth. Who did this to you?" I insisted, my tone softening as I moved closer to her.
Luna remained silent, her hands clutching the edges of her dress. I could see the conflict in her expression, the fear she tried to hide behind her blind eyes.
"I just... I don't want to cause any trouble," she whispered, finally lowering her head.
She hesitated before speaking again, her voice barely above a whisper. "It was some boys from the academy. They said... they said I was cursed and shouldn't be there because of my black eyes."
"Could you tell me his name? I promise I won't do anything stupid," I reassured her, though she hesitated.
After a moment, she finally spoke. "His name was Rako Wick."
So, a no-name noble. I'll take care of him tomorrow.
"Brother, what stupid thing are you going to do?" she asked, looking straight at my face, her expression serious.
"I said I won't do anything stupid," I replied, offering a small smile as I turned and headed toward the alchemy room to practice. But as I walked away, I couldn't shake the determination of ripping his head off—Rako Wick would regret ever crossing my sister.
As i entered "dajit some yellow grass has been delivered today morning did you order it or something and why?" she enquired
"If just found the green tip fascinating and i just wanted to try something with it"
"Sure i dont thing its poisonous so use it as you like but still be cautious about it"
"Yes mother" i replied while moving towards the books kept in the corner i went through the book and i pick up the book about encilopedia of herbs and started going through it.
There were some interesting thing that i think is worth remembering.
Like there is Purgeplant its used for both venom and the antivenom portion frostfern sun flower and other stuff like "venom tooth Mimic core that's really hard to get and other stuff and aws i was half way throught the enciclopedia"
"Hey get up dajit what have you been rambling ou for this long." I saw my mother standing above me and as I liked Around it was already night and it looks like I blured out a lot of information I was reading.
"Oh sorry mother I was trying to Memorise the information I think I blurred out a lot." Like this has never happened with my Spectral Harbinger ability I am shocked myself.
"Don't try too much your are just 8 you will definitely grow and some confidence and patience and now it's time for you to have dinner come With me" shit I forgot to teach Luna and Seraphina close combact they are going to get mad at me.
"Yes mother" I replied while sitting On the dinner table.
As I sat on the dinner table Their eyes percent through me it was clear that they were angry about this so I think to say sorry after the dinner.
After the dinner I headed to seraphina room first When I locked it found it empty After that I checked lunas room and it was empty too so I asked one of the maids and they replied that they were in the garden.
So I went towards the garden to check in and to my surprise that were training so I went towards them
"Hi Luna and Seraphina how's your training going"
seraphina in her Cold and grumpy tone replied "we dont want to talk to a lair don't we Seraphina"
"Yes-yes Luna we don't"
"Come on Saturday I will do market with you I promise to forgive me today"
"Really" Luna replied in excitement
" Yes I promise so forgive me and let's do training" she replied
"Yes sure" I replied and then we did the same tree training like before for few hours like yesterday before father came home in the night and forced us to slep as tomorrow is saturday and we had to sleep even if there are no classes.
