She squeezed out of the window, somewhat fearful. She was still holding on to the cloth, fearful to let go. There was a bend in the ghat road. Suddenly, the minivan swerved and Lisha found herself catapulted in mid-air in the jungle. There were many banyan roots hanging down from banyan trees. She let go of the cloth and caught the nearby hanging root to swing. She began swinging from one tree to another.
"ROLL! ROLL! ROLL!" was echoing in her mind as she was swinging, swinging and swinging, all the while searching for good hanging roots to reach her brother. She enjoyed swinging from the banyan roots at home.
Fortunately, she had her gloves on otherwise her hands would have got rashes.
The minivan had become a little unsteady and they almost stopped. The driver tries to manage the vehicle. The long cloth had got entangled in some bushes. The toll booth was nearby.
Immediately, Raj and Nishit lower the trembling Leena outside, along with her bag. She picks up some stones and gives them. They both yell -MOVE! MOVE!
She is scared of the cliff but she goes to that side to squat down among tires as the minivan grinds to a halt.
Immediately, there goes Thud... Thud... Thud… of glass cracking. So, the door is opened fast. After a moment, the second door opens.
Help! Help! The children shout out of the window. It is no more soundproof as there is air passage through the window.
The conductor comes holding 3 napkins but his left leg slips in the vomit. He holds the door and prevents himself from falling. The 3 napkins tumble onto the vomit. "Napkins!," he says.
At this moment outside, Leena trembling removes the valve cap of the front tire. She takes out a pair of scissors from her bag and with all her force thrusts it into the tire, forgetting her fear.
The toll booth has no other vehicles. Two men come over. One asks the driver – Need any help?
The driver says – "Yes Brother! Please check outside. Package delivery should be good," as he hands 3 napkins to the conductor.
One man finds the long cloth and tries to detach it with his pen knife. Another man is running towards Shreyas.
The conductor tussles with Raj firmly holding the napkin on his face. He faints after few minutes. The bus driver holds the napkin over Nishit's face and the conductor now puts a napkin on Tina's face. They struggle.
Shreyas is not moving because Lisha has signalled her brother to wait.
Leena is not visible. Amid the tussle, no one has noticed the tire.
After a few minutes, they have overpowered the teens and made them unconscious.
Where are the other three? – the driver asks the conductor.
Lisha finds a hanging root which is sturdy and can reach her brother. She begins swinging and reaches her brother before the man can reach them.
"Bro, wear the gloves. Let's swing Double Power Tarzan like before. " – Lisha tells him.
Inside the minivan, the three children had fainted. The conductor was tying them up with ropes and gagging them.
Outside the minivan, bro and sis duo took position and started swinging. Shreyas was on top clutching the root. Around 5 inches below his feet, Lisha's head was there.
The running man was left flabbergasted as the duo were way faster than him.
Lisha was trembling and well hidden.
"Let's take the school belts from my bag and tie it high up in the tree." Lisha said . They got up to a spacious spot. As Shreyas opened her bag, Lisha told him – I will be right back with Leena." She took her dupatta from bag. Today, they had drama practise at school.
Before Shreyas could say anything, she was swinging and got hidden among the trees. He climbed up soon. The men say Shreyas far away climbing up and were distracted by him. They had locked the car door.
They thought that 3 kids have escaped. Suddenly, she landed near Leena with grace. "Hurry, close your eyes and hold me tight." She tied the dupatta around them. Just as the men saw her and proceeded from the engine end and the back carefully, the girls were gone.
Leena's teeth were chattering , her body trembling and she tightly held Lisha. This was ghat road and there was a deep cliff below. The men couldn't reach them anymore.
Leena's eyes were closed. She was afraid of heights. She was constantly thinking- Will I make it ?
