Chapter 40 - Company

Mo Yuchen paused in the doorway as he took in the sight of her. His shoulders sagged with relief as all the exhaustion and stress from work melted away, replaced by a warm, gentle smile. He watched her for a moment, his eyes taking in every detail of her serious expression as she was lost in thought.

The sight of her, so absorbed in her own world, was a soothing balm to his weary soul. Despite the demanding nature of his job, Mo Yuchen found himself instantly calmed and comforted just by being in her presence.

Mo Yuchen quietly closed the door behind him, careful not to disturb her. Seeing her lost in thought, he walked quietly towards her, his steps almost silent on the soft carpet. "What are you thinking about,Wifey?" he asked softly, his voice breaking the silence and causing her to jerk in surprise.

She looked up startled momentarily from her thoughts, but then relaxed at the sound of his voice. "Yuchen, it's you," she said, a soft smile tugging at the corners of her lips. "I didn't hear you come in."

Mo Yuchen chuckled softly, his eyes never leaving hers. "Come on, tell me." He perched himself on the edge of the desk, his gaze steady and affectionate. "What made my little wifey so preoccupied in her thoughts?" He reached out and gently brushed a strand of hair away from her face, his touch gentle and affectionate.

She leaned into his touch. "Just thinking about some work stuff," she said, her voice quiet and thoughtful. "There's something I'm working on...I'm thinking about starting my own company that way I can anything I want with the connections".

Mo Yuchen's expression softened as he looked at her, his gaze puzzled. "But..." he hesitated for a moment, his thoughts not quite lining up. "You have access to all the resources you need as my wife. Why would you need to start your own company?".

"I'm sorry, Yuchen," she said, her voice sincere. "I guess old habits die hard. I'm too used to being independent and handling things on my own. I'm sorry for not thinking about your feelings. I hope you understand that I'm still working on adjusting to everything here..it's quite new to me the affection...and everything ."

Mo Yuchen shook his head gently, a soft smile on his face. He reached out and cupped her face in his hands, his thumbs tracing gentle circles on her cheeks. "It's alright," he said quietly, his voice filled with kindness. "If you want..I can help you set up a company for your personal uses and for fun, tell me if you lack money...what's mine is yours ."

Mo Yuchen smiled gently at her, his eyes filled with tenderness and affection. He loved her unconditionally, accepting her as she was and never questioning her decisions or actions. To him, she was the only one in the world, the center of his universe. He loved her through the good times and the bad, never wavering in his devotion and commitment to her.

(T_T)writing this reminds me of Hua Cheng!!!!Especially that devotion!!!

Mo Yuchen and Zi Aixia enjoyed a peaceful dinner, cuddled up in each other's arms. They sat together on the couch, their bodies tangled together, as they relished the moment of peace and comfort. They spoke little, the silence between them filled with a sense of contentment and happiness. It was moments like these that they cherished the most.

They made their way to the bedroom, the soft moonlight casting a silvery glow through the window. They moved together, their steps in sync as they got ready for bed. They climbed under the covers, their bodies instinctively seeking each other's warmth. Mo Yuchen wrapped his arms around Zi Aixia, pulling her close, their limbs tangling together in a tangle of warmth and comfort.

....

Mo Yuchen woke up with a start, his senses immediately on alert. He reached out for Zi Aixia, but his hand found only cold, empty sheets. Confused and concerned, he sat up in the bed, his heart racing. "Xiaxia?" he called out, his voice filled with worry and confusion.

When he received no response, he quickly got out of bed and began to search the house for her. He checked the living room, the bathroom, the kitchen, even the backyard, but there was no sign of her anywhere. Panic and worry started to set in as he called out her name again. "Xiaxia! Where are you?"

He continued to search the house frantically, checking every room and every corner he could think of. But no matter where he looked, she was nowhere to be found. His mind raced with a thousand thoughts as he desperately searched for her, his heart pounding with anxiety and fear.

Finally, he returned to the bedroom, his eyes scanning the room for any sign of her. He noticed the balcony door was open just a crack, a cool breeze blowing into the room. " Aixia???"
