Lilly's POV
I made it home and went straight to the kitchen to fling open the fridge door. I had just gone shopping so I knew exactly what I wanted. I grabbed meat and cheese and a Seltzer water and jumped onto the couch and kicked my shoes off. As I ate all I could think about was Leo and what had happened, it was on repeat in my head and I couldn't figure out why everything happened the way it did. I didn't have ID in my purse so how could he have known it was mine unless maybe he saw me drop it and knowingly took my purse, but why would someone like him, a CEO nonetheless want to do that… unless hes a creep. None of it made sense and my head was spinning.
I decided the best thing I could do now is go to sleep and be fresh for my first day of work tomorrow.
I laid in the dark with my eyes closed, in and out of sleep. I heard rustling and I opened my eyes to see Leo standing at the foot of my bed, his shirt off staring down at me with his eyes dark, I could see his muscles flex as he clinched and relaxed his fists and felt my body heating up and my breathing getting heavier. I wasn't shocked he was here, I didn't ask him how he got in or why he was here because I already knew, he leaned down and grabbed my covers and pulled them off of me. I flinched but not from fear, rather from excitement. He leaned onto the bed and his hands slowly touched the top of my foot and my breath hitched slightly as he shifted from my ankle up to my knee and then my inner thigh, I felt my insides quiver as he placed his hands on my hips, his thumbs pressing into my hip bones making me moan. By my hips he yanked me to him and I could feel him pulsing through his jeans making me wet. I moaned loud which made me so embarrassed that it made me gasp and I woke up covered in sweat looking around, realizing it was a dream I sighed partially in disappointment and partially in relief.
I sat up and turned my side table light on and looked down to see I had actually soaked my sheets and my pajamas in sweat and arousal. Well I cant go back to sleep now I slowly drug myself from bed and lumbered my way into the bathroom to take a shower, I stood with the hot water falling down my body. As I leaned against the shower wall, my mind wandered to my dream, the way he touched me, the way he commanded my body. I found myself moaning, without even meaning to my hand moved between my legs and I started massaging myself What am I doing? What the fuck is wrong with me, why am I dreaming… daydreaming about a man I just barely met? I got out of the shower and put clean pj's on before changing my sheets and slipping back into bed At least I wont have to shower in the morning.
I fell back to sleep, this time peacefully and didn't wake up until my alarm at 6, I hit snooze since I had already showered and gave myself another 30 minutes to rest after an exhausting night. I got up at 6:30 and made coffee and food for breakfast and lunch, I was not about to set foot back into that bistro. I got my makeup out and looked in the mirror at the dark circles under my eyes from the lack of sleep. I got done with my makeup and picked out the outfit for the day which was a dark green a-line skirt with a white sleeveless blouse with lace trim around the neckline and pearl snap buttons going down the front of the blouse. I wore my go to penny loafers for comfort and hopped in my car, prepared for the day. I even had enough spare time to stop at a different coffee shop, it was a little out of the way but with the time I saved not having to blow dry my hair I was able to manage to get coffee and make it to my first day at work with a few minutes to spare.
I was met at the door by Frances the secretary who greeted me with a smile and two cups of espresso, the label read "Cool Beans?" a coffee shop I wasn't aware of.
She extended her arm to hand me one "Yeah its in our building" she said as she saw I had a coffee already and went to pull her hand away but I greedily reached my hand to accept one of them with a smile: I may or may not have a caffeine addiction... Shhh... dont judge me. I put my finger up to my lips while smiling and let out a chuckle as she shook her head and started laughing at me.
"Well dont get used to the coffee, I just like to give all newcomers a welcome. Come, follow me and Ill bring you to your new office." she gestured and I followed behind her, we reached the elevators and made small talk as we went up to the 5th floor of our 8 story building and she brought me to an office that to my surprise did have a view, it wasn't a fantastic view but it was a view nonetheless and something told me that at night with the cities lights, it would be fantastic.
"Wow, this is really nice, thank you!" My brows knitted together with equal parts confusion and excitement.
"Okay well your work is already waiting for you on your desk and it should take you a few days to finish, we've been slightly behind without interns so you have your grunt work cut out for you. Once you are done with that pile I'll bring the next one in. I took the liberty of printing out a list of extensions for you so you will be able to contact me or others on your team. I'll come get you at lunch to take you to the cafeteria and introduce you to the other interns. Do you have any questions for me so far, or do you need anything before I go?
"No I think you covered everything, I'll just get started and I'll see you at lunch." Frances nodded at my response and walked out the door. I looked around the office, gray carpet, a few generic paintings on the walls and one empty bookshelf near the door and one near my desk. I would have to bring some things tomorrow to decorate, maybe even a plant or two. I sat down behind the desk and let out a sigh of relief, no more waiting, I finally could dig my teeth into work and not think about anything. I started to work and within a few minutes Frances returned to my office.
"You ready?" she looked at me with a smile.
I looked up, my eyes wide with confusion and replied: For?
"Lunch silly, it noon, did you not realize? She laughed and gestured for me to follow her as she turned and walked out the door.
Noon, already? I guess time really does fly when your having fun I jumped to my feet and took off out the door, there was no way I would find my way around here without Frances so I couldn't lose her. The elevator doors were about to close when I literally slid through the doors making it just in time. We both stood side by side without saying a words but in the corner of my eye I could see her smiling at the sight of me sliding through the door like I just hit home base on the baseball field. I laughed through my nose but barely audible as we descended to the lobby floor. I continued to follow her through the halls left and right wondering if I could ever remember how to get back.We finally made it to the cafeteria where I saw Cool Beans in the corner and suddenly all the directions clicked into place.
Frances brought me to a table where three other people sat, two men and one woman. One of the men was older than me maybe by 8 to 10 years or so Frances introduced him as Adam, he was in pretty good shape with a muscular build as if he had been a contractor to put himself through school to become an Architect, He had dark hair and dark brown eyes. His face had stubble as if he hadn't shaved in a couple days and he had a wedding ring and dark circles under his eyes and most likely a new dad seeing the white spot on his shoulder that looked like baby puke. The other man's name was Shaun, he looked to be about my age and his skin was dark brown and smooth, he looked like a model off of a banana republic poster with his 3 piece suit and haircut clearly from a barber, he had one diamond earring and his eyes shined brightly as he smiled at me and shook my hand. The girl, Julia was beautiful, she was tall and slender, she had long straight black hair and hazel eyes. She wore extremely plain and modest clothes even for my taste as if she was trying to get people to take her more seriously. She shook my hand and greeted me with a smile.
"It is so nice to meet you all and I look forward to working with and getting to know you guys better." I shook each of there hands with a smile and sat to eat with them. After visiting through lunch I had learned more about my co workers and was thankful to be in a team with them. Even though to an extant it was a competition, after the internship GTI would pick 1 intern to be hired on full time. Shaun had said he would rather work for Sinclair and that is where he would aim his sights taking himself out of the competition but that still left Adam and Julia, I wasn't sure if Adam would wash out seeing as how this job meant long hours and he had a newly growing family but he made it this far so I was hopeful for him. Something told me Julia would be my main competition, it felt like she was hiding something, like there was more to her mousy little expression and modest dull clothes. Julia was nice and all but she was way too pretty to be this sane.
After lunch I walked around slightly out of curiosity but mostly because I was completely lost. I knew what floor I was on so I just needed to find an elevator. After about 5 minutes I found the front door and I knew where the elevator was from there. I walked in and it hit my entire body, I could smell Leo Sinclair, it was faint but it was there How can I smell him? It has to be someone with the same cologn or something like that. The elevator doors shut at my face before I could jump out and as the elevator started to rise with each passing floor I felt my heart rate rise in equal measure. 2nd floor, 3rd floor, 4th finally the 5th and I stood waiting just knowing the door would open to Leo standing there, the elevator dings and the doors begin to open and I sharply drew in a deep breath. I let out all of the air from the lungs in complete and utter relief at the sight of no one around. I stepped out and speed walked to my office and locked myself in for the rest of the day.
