Chapter 150 - Chapter 150

"Feeling so tired," Zhang Zheng murmured as he rubbed his lower back. His eyes fell on the beautiful face resting on his chest, with long golden hair cascading like a waterfall over the bed. Although he had intended to sit up, the sight before him was too precious to disturb.

He gently stroked the woman in his arms, her skin as smooth as the finest jade, yet surprisingly elastic, making it hard for him to let go. As the minutes ticked by, Zhang Zheng continued to gaze at Yan, drinking in her alluring fragrance.

Maybe it was Zhang Zheng's intense gaze, or perhaps the hand caressing her body that woke Yan from her slumber. She opened her eyes to find herself staring at his chest, then looked up to see the love-filled eyes of Zhang Zheng.

"Awake, Yan?" Zhang Zheng asked softly, adjusting his position so that their eyes were level.

"Mhm," Yan replied. She didn't act coy; being pampered by Zhang Zheng felt wonderful. Half of her body lay across his, her well-developed chest slightly deformed from the pressure on his chest.

Zhang Zheng, staring at the two soft mounds on his chest, nearly transformed into a beast again.

"Yan, it's time to get up. Zhixin is still waiting for us," he said, though his body showed no intention of moving. Instead, he tightened his grip on Yan's slender waist.

Yan rolled her eyes at him, feeling his mischievous hand inching towards an unmentionable area. She wrapped her arms around his neck and gave him a quick kiss on the lips. In the next instant, a beautifully crafted dress appeared on her near-perfect figure.

"Enough already. Do you even know what time it is?" Yan chided playfully, waving her hand to open the curtains. Sunlight streamed into the room, breaking the intimate atmosphere between them.

"Haha, couldn't help it, couldn't help it. You're so beautiful, Yan, I can hardly believe it's real," Zhang Zheng laughed awkwardly, scratching his head as he noticed the sun already high in the sky.

"Yeah, right," Yan replied with a hint of pride, though she was secretly pleased. She got up from the bed, her bare, snow-white feet touching the carpet.

Seeing Yan get up, Zhang Zheng didn't delay any longer. He stretched lazily and got up as well.

"Good morning, Zhixin," Zhang Zheng greeted, moving to sit beside Zhixin, who was lost in thought on the sofa. He wrapped an arm around her and kissed her cheek.

"Good morning, Zhang Zheng," Zhixin replied, snapping out of her thoughts.

Zhixin hadn't been daydreaming; she had been studying in the angels' shared knowledge database, bored while waiting for Zhang Zheng and Yan to get up.

"Morning, Zhixin," Yan greeted as she naturally sat beside them.

"Morning, Sister Yan."

After exchanging pleasantries, Yan suddenly remembered that her teacher, Kaisa, was also on Earth. Now that she was practically an Earthling's wife, it seemed only right to pay her teacher a visit.

"Zhang Zheng, would you come with us to see Queen Kaisa?" Yan asked, thinking it was time to see her teacher.

"Sure, I have some things to discuss with Teacher Kaisa as well," Zhang Zheng agreed easily.

The three of them traveled through Zhang Zheng's portal to the floating island where Kaisa resided. As soon as Zhang Zheng stepped out, he felt as though he had entered a paradise.

"Queen Kaisa, you're just visiting Earth, but you've set up such an elaborate scene. Isn't it a bit much?" Zhang Zheng teased, taking in the sight of the floating islands.

Zhang Zheng knew Kaisa was here to deal with Morgana, but anyone else might think she was moving in permanently, given the grandeur.

"Heh, little one, you don't understand. I'm a prime god, after all. This level of extravagance is expected. Otherwise, wouldn't people look down on us angels?" Kaisa joked, though in truth, it was just the angels' pursuit of perfection, not about showing off.

"Tch," Zhang Zheng rolled his eyes at Kaisa, not interested in arguing with the old woman. When Kaisa was in full queen mode, he found it hard to talk to her.

"Queen Kaisa," Yan and Zhixin greeted Kaisa respectfully, which made Zhang Zheng feel a bit annoyed.

But remembering that Kaisa was Yan's teacher and Hexi's best friend, Zhang Zheng knew he had to swallow his irritation. His strong moral compass wouldn't allow him to be disrespectful to Kaisa, even if she sometimes drove him crazy.

Unable to show disrespect, Zhang Zheng decided to ignore the interaction between Kaisa, Yan, and Zhixin.

"Ah Chui, still mad?" Zhang Zheng asked teasingly as he approached Angel Zhui.

"Hmph," Angel Zhui pouted, refusing to look at Zhang Zheng. She was still embarrassed about being lifted by her collar the other day, which had led to teasing from the other angels.

"Haha, Ah Chui, you're not one to hold grudges. How about I apologize?" Zhang Zheng suggested with a smile, not taking her cold attitude to heart.

"Hehe, so what's your plan to make it up to Ah Chui, Zhang Zheng? After all, we've spoken highly of you to the queen," Moy teased as she joined in.

"Oh, Moy, you wound me," Zhang Zheng replied dramatically. "I made your Sky Blades, after all. Shouldn't we speak from the heart here?"

He clutched his chest in mock pain, his exaggerated expression drawing laughter from the other angels, even if it didn't quite placate Zhui and Moy.

"Wow, you're all laughing now. You, the one with the braids, what's your name?" Zhang Zheng asked, pointing to one of the laughing angels.

"Me?" The braided angel asked uncertainly.

"Yes, you. What's your name, Miss?" Zhang Zheng confirmed.

"My name is Yitian. And by the way, I'm older than you, so you should call me Angel Sister," Yitian replied, a bit irritated by being called "Miss."

Zhang Zheng stared at her, unblinking.

Yitian started to feel uneasy under his gaze. "Why are you looking at me like that?" she asked.

"Yitian, my dear, you've got it all wrong. Who am I? I'm Yan's man, which means all you little angels should call me Brother-in-law, got it? Well, except for Cold Sister. But if we were to follow Xiao Lun's logic, Cold should call me Brother Zheng," Zhang Zheng explained, emphasizing his connections.

The room fell silent. The angels were stunned, not because Zhang Zheng insisted they call him Brother-in-law, but because he expected Cold Sister to call him Brother Zheng as well.

"Seriously, Zhang Zheng, could you be any more shameless?" Cold Angel, familiar with Zhang Zheng's usual shamelessness, sneered at him.

"Pfft, you think I want you to call me Brother Zheng? I'm doing you a favor. Otherwise, I'll just go to Rose and convince her to call me Brother Zheng. Then we'll see how you deal with it," Zhang Zheng retorted, attempting to use Rose to threaten Cold.

However, he seemed to have forgotten that he had vowed not to meddle in Xiao Lun and Rose's business anymore.
