Chapter 144 - Chapter 144

Giant Gorge.

Ge Xiaolun and his friends had just finished breakfast and were chatting casually.

"Have you heard? The Western Hatred Alliance was wiped out by the demons. No one dares to show their face there now," Zhao Xin said, looking a bit uneasy.

"Yeah, but we don't need to worry. After all, Chuang and I are divine bodies, and Godslayer One should be able to hold out," Ge Xiaolun said, glancing at Zhao Xin, implying that while they would be fine, Zhao Xin might be in trouble.

Ge Xiaolun still remembered how Zhao Xin had mocked him in the dormitory last night. Just because he hadn't succeeded in wooing Qiangwei, did Zhao Xin really have to hit him so hard?

So Ge Xiaolun decided to get back at Zhao Xin when the opportunity arose, and now the chance had come.

"Come on, Xiaolun. What happened to being good brothers, sticking together through thick and thin?" Zhao Xin looked at Ge Xiaolun with a gaze full of resentment.

"Don't worry, Lord Xin. Forget Xiaolun. If any demons try to ambush you, I'll avenge you," Liu Chuang said, putting his arm around Zhao Xin's shoulder in a brotherly manner. But the implication didn't sit well with Zhao Xin.

"Chuang, what do you mean? Am I doomed already, and you're just planning to avenge me?" Zhao Xin elbowed Liu Chuang and gave him a hard glare. That glare sent a shiver down the spine of Liu Chuang, a tough guy from the Northeast.

"Since when did Lord Xin get so menacing?" Liu Chuang muttered to himself.

"By the way, have you noticed? Reina hasn't seemed herself lately," Cheng Yaowen said, looking at Empress Reina ahead of them with concern.

"Yeah. You think it might be, you know, that time of the month?" Zhao Xin whispered jokingly to Cheng Yaowen, though the concern in his eyes was genuine.

Although Zhao Xin had given up on pursuing Reina, their shared experiences on the battlefield had forged a deep camaraderie.

As they chatted, they walked out of the cabin, but as they walked, Ge Xiaolun seemed to sense something. He looked up at the sky.

"Chuang, Lord Xin, Yaowen, look at the sky," Ge Xiaolun said, his hand moving to the great sword on his back.

Although Liu Chuang and the others didn't see anything, they trusted their comrade and gripped their weapons, looking up at the sky.

Just as they were starting to get impatient, the scene that followed left them in shock.

The white clouds in the sky suddenly began to churn, forming a massive vortex that swirled around a central point. Sweat began to form on the foreheads of Ge Xiaolun and his friends—the scene was overwhelming.

None of their previous enemies had created such a spectacle, except perhaps Zhang Zheng, but that was different since he was one of them, and they had some understanding of his strength. This time, though, it was clear that another deity-level figure had appeared.

The phenomenon in the sky quickly drew everyone's attention, and alarms started blaring on the Giant Gorge. Regular soldiers raised their machine guns, aiming at the sky, ready to deal with the impending threat. Some even used laser weapons made by Ge Xiaolun with the Xiongbing Chip, although due to limited numbers, only a few were equipped with them.

"Damn, is this the end of the world?" Zhao Xin, despite the fear in his voice, couldn't resist making his presence known.

"Lord Xin, let's hope it's the angels coming. Otherwise, without Brother Zheng here, we might not be able to hold out," Ge Xiaolun said, feeling uncertain as he sensed the dark energy behind the clouds. This deity seemed even more formidable than Morgana, the demon queen herself. Keisha's dark energy was just too overwhelming.

That didn't mean Morgana was weak, though—she was agile, while Keisha was more of a warrior type. If Reina, a mage, had a fourth-generation body, her energy would be even more immense.

As everyone tensed up, two beautiful figures suddenly appeared over the Giant Gorge from the distant sea. They stopped mid-air, placing their right hands over their chests and looking up respectfully at the clouds.

"Sister Leng, Sister Lingxi," Ge Xiaolun saw the two angelic figures and relaxed his guard.

Liu Chuang saw them too and slung the Black Cutter back onto his back.

"Xiaolun, you think the angel queen has arrived?" Liu Chuang asked Ge Xiaolun.

"Yeah, it should be Divine Keisha. Otherwise, Sister Leng and Sister Lingxi wouldn't be here, waiting so respectfully," Ge Xiaolun said. He knew the pride of the angels— even Zhang Zheng, Earth's mightiest, couldn't handle these little angels. Ge Xiaolun couldn't imagine anyone besides the angel queen commanding such respect from them.

"The angel queen, huh? Xiaolun, why do I feel a bit nervous?" Liu Chuang said, looking at the sky, a bit apprehensive.

Ge Xiaolun, seeing Liu Chuang's nervousness, like a scoundrel meeting his future mother-in-law, sneered. Nervous about what? Liu Chuang clearly had feelings for one of the angels. Otherwise, what did this rascal have to be afraid of?

As Liu Chuang and the others whispered to each other, Keisha's throne suddenly appeared about ten meters above the Giant Gorge. On either side of the throne, over a dozen high-ranking angels stood in formation. Angel Chaser and Angel Moy stopped in front of Keisha on her left and right.

"Queen Keisha." Angel Leng and Angel Lingxi flew in front of Keisha, saluted, and then moved aside.

"Are you Divine Keisha? Welcome to Earth," Du Kaao saw it was the angels and had no choice but to step forward, bracing himself. Zhang Zheng was unreliable, Ge Xiaolun and the others weren't strong enough, and they were still young. As the representative of the nation, it was up to this old man to step forward.

"Oh, isn't this the war maniac Du Kaao? Seeing you, it all makes sense," Keisha said dismissively, glancing at Du Kaao.

Keisha disliked Du Kaao, for it was this man who had ignited the war that led to the total destruction of two civilizations and plunged another into suffering. This infuriated Keisha, who was determined to protect the universe. So the moment she saw Du Kaao, she couldn't help but mock him.

"Uh..." Du Kaao hadn't expected Keisha to start with a jab. But thinking of what he had done, he couldn't refute her. After all, what she said was true—his reputation as a war maniac had spread across the universe because of the Deno War.

"I know the mistakes I've made, and I'm repenting for them now. Please, don't let the angels start a war with the demons on Earth. We—" Du Kaao was cut off before he could finish.

"Wait, let me first read Earth," Keisha said, activating her Eyes of Insight. Earth's dark matter data was rapidly processed by Keisha.

"A beautiful planet, but its entire civilization's history is filled with war, war, death, and more death. No wonder that pervert Carl likes it here," Keisha remarked, organizing the information she had gathered, clearly unimpressed.

But when she read about Angel International, Keisha almost lost her composure.

"I didn't expect Zhang Zheng to have this side to him," Keisha muttered to herself. Why? Because she had read Zhang Zheng's work records at Angel International.

Du Kaao, feeling insulted by Keisha's haughty demeanor, angrily said, "Didn't you come here for war?"

"For war? You think too highly of yourself. I don't need war to mess with you," Keisha replied, giving Du Kaao a disdainful look, showing the scorn of a queen.

"I..." Du Kaao was about to retort when Keisha cut him off.

"Du Kaao, our conversation is over," Keisha said, her eyes fixed on Ge Xiaolun, the future male deity, without even glancing at Du Kaao again.
