In the end, Zhang Zheng and Angel Leng did not end up fighting. Angel Lingxi and Xiao Zhixin each pulled Zhang Zheng and Angel Leng back to their respective rooms.
"Zhixin, let's go out and relax," Zhang Zheng said, feeling a bit sulky as he sat down on the bed after being dragged back to the room by Zhixin. He then pulled Zhixin close, holding her tightly in his arms.
Zhixin, nestled in Zhang Zheng's embrace, did not resist. Instead, she leaned her small head against his chest obediently.
"So, where do you want to go?" Zhixin's voice was soft and gentle as it emerged from Zhang Zheng's chest.
Unlike Zhang Zheng, Zhixin wasn't particularly concerned about Earth's issues. Since Zhang Zheng suggested going out to relax, she readily agreed.
"Uh... let's go to Sirius," Zhang Zheng suggested after a moment of thought. He hadn't initially planned to go anywhere in particular but, seeing that Zhixin had agreed, he figured that the scenery on Sirius might be nice. It had been two months since he last visited, and given the rapid expansion of the Skynet, the military base on Sirius should have grown considerably. Plus, it would give him a chance to shake off Angel Leng and Angel Lingxi, those two beautiful "light bulbs."
"Sirius?" Zhixin showed a puzzled expression. Every planet in the known universe was recorded in the angels' database, but Zhixin couldn't recall which planet Sirius was.
"Haha!" Zhang Zheng was amused by Zhixin's confusion. Her expression was simply too cute, especially for a scholar like her.
"What's so funny? Did I say something wrong?" Zhixin asked, still not understanding why Zhang Zheng was laughing at her.
"Nothing, I just thought you were too adorable," Zhang Zheng replied with a smile. "Sirius is just a name I made up. I don't know what it's called in your advanced civilization."
Without giving Zhixin time to ask more questions, Zhang Zheng opened a portal and, taking Zhixin's hand, stepped through it. At the same time, Zhang Zheng used his spatial abilities to isolate his entire house and courtyard. From the outside, everything appeared normal, but in reality, the house and courtyard had been moved to another dimension—one that was completely sealed off.
...
In the skies over a certain Western country, within the Demon Fortress.
"Queen, just now, the house of Earth's main god suddenly disappeared from our surveillance," a demon named Atai's excited voice suddenly echoed through the operations hall of the Demon Fortress.
One couldn't blame Demon Atai for being so surprised; it was the first time he'd seen such technology. Zhang Zheng's house had just disappeared without leaving any signs of micro-wormhole traversal? As a researcher, discovering an unknown technology naturally excited him, making him eager to investigate further.
"Where is that bastard Zhang Zheng? Can you still track him on Earth?" Morgana, however, was not interested in how Zhang Zheng's house had vanished. She was only concerned with whether or not Zhang Zheng was still on Earth.
"Queen, shouldn't we be more concerned about this new spatial technology?" Atai asked, puzzled. He wasn't reporting this to observe Zhang Zheng, but rather to emphasize the significance of the technology that made Zhang Zheng's house disappear—his main concern.
"Hey, Atai," Morgana interrupted. "This isn't the time for research. What about the battle plan I asked you to draft? If Zhang Zheng hid his house, it's likely that the bastard left Earth. This is the perfect opportunity for us to steal the battle armor."
Morgana had already formed a preliminary understanding of Zhang Zheng, and upon hearing that his house was hidden, she quickly pieced things together. She also knew that attacking while Zhang Zheng was absent was the safer option. Despite what Zhang Zheng had said about not interfering, Morgana didn't trust him. What if that bastard went berserk again? She didn't want her subordinates dying in vain.
Demon Atai, feeling a bit nervous, watched Morgana pacing around the operations hall.
"Queen, we've located the battle armor," Atai reported. "There's some in the Yuntian base near Tianhe City, but you only issued the order yesterday. We haven't had time to come up with a full plan yet."
As Atai spoke, he stole glances at Morgana, apprehensive. There simply hadn't been enough time. Although the queen was formidable and generally magnanimous, she was still a woman, and everyone could be prone to misdirecting anger.
"Hmm..." Morgana paused, casting her gaze on Atai, drawing out her response.
"Queen, while we haven't finalized a plan yet, we do have options," Atai quickly added, abandoning his original intention to explain further.
"Good. Keep monitoring Zhang Zheng's house. If he doesn't show up by tonight, we'll move ahead with the operation. But be careful—though their armor is impressive, you're no pushovers either. Don't get careless and end up dead. I won't bother reviving you if that happens."
Morgana remained rational, deciding to act later that night.
"Queen, what if the Super Seminary on Earth sends reinforcements after we start? Without a complete plan, we could suffer heavy losses," Demon Abang interjected, voicing his concern. As Atai's subordinate, Abang was generally level-headed and raised a valid point.
"Hmm..." Morgana considered his words, tapping her fingers on the command table.
"The Southern Fleet is far from Yuntian Base. Even if Xiongbing Company tries to assist, it would take them at least half an hour. I'm giving you half an hour to secure a set of armor. Is that clear?" Morgana said decisively, her gaze sharp as she looked at Demon Abang.
At this moment, Demon Abang saw Morgana's full queenly demeanor.
"No problem," he replied.
Before Demon Abang could speak, the other demons, enamored by Morgana, shouted enthusiastically, nearly shaking the operations hall.
Demon Abang looked toward his superior, Demon Atai, hoping he might persuade the queen. Rushing in without a solid plan was not their style. But Abang was disappointed—Atai completely ignored his signal and turned away.
Morgana was pleased with her underlings' reaction, a charming smile playing on her lips. This smile was like a refreshing breeze to the demons, making them cheer even louder.
"Alright, that's settled. If Zhang Zheng doesn't appear by tonight, we proceed with the operation," Morgana concluded, shifting her gaze to Demon Atai. "Atai, you'll lead the team."
