Tianhe City, Zhang Zheng's Home.
Ge Xiaolun and Qiangwei talked for half an hour. After the conversation, the members of the Xiongbing Company boarded the Light of Dawn and returned to the Juxia.
"Ah, Ge Xiaolun is really destined to be single," Zhang Zheng said as he watched them fly away. He walked over to Zhixin, wrapped his arm around her waist, and used his free left hand to emit a green glow, enveloping the entire courtyard. The power of time was activated, and the house reverted to its state from the previous day.
"What happened? What did Ge Xiaolun and Qiangwei talk about?" Zhixin asked curiously. She was a beautiful little angel and hadn't eavesdropped on Ge Xiaolun and Du Qiangwei's conversation, so she was curious about Zhang Zheng's reaction.
"Xiaolun stole glances at Qiangwei more than twenty times in that half hour, but what really impressed me was that he didn't say a single word to her," Zhang Zheng said with some admiration. He had been using his mental powers to observe the two inside, noticing Ge Xiaolun repeatedly stealing glances at Du Qiangwei, only to quickly look away whenever she noticed.
Ge Xiaolun was the epitome of restraint, sitting alone with a beautiful girl he liked, yet not daring to even chat with her. Zhang Zheng was impressed by his self-control. If it had been someone like Di Leina instead of the aloof Du Qiangwei, Ge Xiaolun would have probably been obliterated by a flare blast for such behavior.
"And so?" Zhixin asked, still confused.
"So, from now on, we won't meddle in Ge Xiaolun's business anymore," Zhang Zheng said in frustration. Without waiting for Zhixin's reaction, he pulled her back into the house.
"Bring back Sister Leng and the others. Since Ge Xiaolun is gone, they should come back too."
"Alright," Zhixin replied, following Zhang Zheng's lead. He really didn't want to get involved in Ge Xiaolun's affairs anymore, especially when he hadn't even sorted out his own relationship with Angel Yan.
"Zhixin, do you know about my relationship with Yan?" Zhang Zheng asked, feeling a bit guilty.
"Yes, Sister Yan told me," Zhixin replied, pouting unconsciously. Seeing her reaction, Zhang Zheng's heart sank. He realized that if Angel Yan hadn't agreed to the situation, Zhixin wouldn't be reacting this way.
Zhang Zheng, knowing better than to say anything further, slumped onto the sofa, resting his head on Zhixin's lap. He closed his eyes, taking in the unique fragrance of the angel beside him, his expression one of resignation.
Zhixin, who had been waiting for Zhang Zheng to speak, saw his current state and decided not to press him further. She gently massaged his temples, trying to soothe his mind.
"Zhang Zheng, I don't mind," Zhixin said softly, her hands still working to relieve his tension.
"Zhixin, do you know why I don't want Queen Kaisa to come to Earth?" Zhang Zheng asked, changing the subject to someone seemingly unrelated.
"Yes, you're worried that if the Queen and Morgana fight on Earth, it will endanger the planet," Zhixin replied, her hands moving to Zhang Zheng's shoulders as she adjusted her position to make him more comfortable.
"It's not just that. I possess the power of time, and I can see the future," Zhang Zheng said, holding Zhixin's hand. In his mind, he was thinking, "What future? I just know the plot."
Zhixin's body stiffened at his words. She was very intelligent, otherwise, she wouldn't have inherited He Xi's position as the right-wing guardian at just five hundred years old. There was no such thing as nepotism among the angels; if Zhixin's strength wasn't up to par, no one would have accepted her as the right-wing protector.
Even the proud Angel Leng served faithfully under Zhixin, which was a testament to her capabilities. In the world of angels, strength was closely tied to wisdom.
"Will the Queen be in danger this time on Earth?" Zhixin asked, unable to hold back her concern.
"Yes, she will die," Zhang Zheng replied calmly, his tone devoid of emotion.
Zhixin's grip on Zhang Zheng's hand tightened involuntarily. Zhang Zheng frowned slightly but quickly relaxed. If it had been anyone other than Zhang Zheng, Zhixin's grip would have crushed their bones. However, after a while, Zhixin calmed down, releasing Zhang Zheng's hand and saying, "You're lying, Zhang Zheng. The Queen has a sacred body. As long as there's enough energy, the divine body can heal itself. She won't die."
Zhixin searched Zhang Zheng's eyes for any sign of deceit but found only clear black and white, occasionally flickering with a golden light—the power of the Sentinel leaking out uncontrollably.
"Zhixin, the sacred body might not die, but what if it gets blown into sacred atoms?" Zhang Zheng asked, knowing what was on her mind.
"My teacher said that the sacred body's atoms can locate each other. Even if it's blown into sacred atoms, it can quickly reassemble. Besides, Queen Kaisa is the King of Gods. Who could possibly blow her into sacred atoms?" Zhixin's trust in Kaisa was unwavering. In fact, all the angels had an almost fanatical belief in their Queen's power.
"What if the Sun, the Underworld, and the Demons joined forces? Leina's supernova combined with Carl's Big Clock?" Zhang Zheng suggested, his tone indifferent, as if he didn't consider this combination a real threat. After all, as a Sentinel, he had once flown into the sun in an attempt to end his life, only to come out unscathed and even adapt to the solar temperature after a few resurrections.
So even Zhang Zheng didn't know how to kill himself, and with that kind of resilience, there wasn't much he feared.
"What? The Sun has allied with the Demons? No, I must inform Queen Kaisa!" Zhixin exclaimed, standing up from the sofa in a panic. Zhang Zheng, who had been lying on her lap, was left speechless by her sudden reaction—this was all his fault!
"Calm down, Zhixin. The Sun hasn't allied with the Demons; it's just that Leina has been controlled by them," Zhang Zheng said, quickly pulling her back onto the sofa.
"But the Queen is in danger. I have to warn her," Zhixin insisted, still not sitting down.
"That's why I don't want her to come to Earth! And besides, Zhixin, Queen Kaisa is the woman with the highest wisdom in the universe. Since my power of time has been exposed, don't you think she might already have figured out the real reason I don't want her to come to Earth?" Zhang Zheng replied.
"But..." Zhixin looked conflicted. She wanted to inform Queen Kaisa, but if Zhang Zheng didn't want her to, she had to obey him—after all, she was his guardian angel.
"Alright, Zhixin," Zhang Zheng finally relented. "If you want to inform Kaisa, then go ahead. Just remember that even if she knows there's danger, Kaisa is the type of person who would still come."
Zhang Zheng sighed, knowing that with Kaisa's personality, she'd still come to Earth even if she knew the risks. He was now contemplating whether or not to help Kaisa when the time came. In reality, if Zhang Zheng wanted to, saving Kaisa would be easy.
