Chapter 91 - Chapter 91

After receiving Zhixin's communication, Angel Leng and Angel Lingxi quickly returned to Zhang Zheng's home. Why so fast? Because they never actually left Tianhe City. The global travel excuse? Just a cover. Zhang Zheng knew it, and so did Angel Leng.

"Zhixin, do we need to join the battle against the Gluttons?" Angel Leng asked as soon as she entered the door, her eyes fixed on Zhixin. Angel Lingxi also looked at Zhixin with anticipation.

"No, you don't," Zhang Zheng answered before Zhixin could. He was exasperated with these angel girls. They were all beautiful, but why were they so eager to fight? It was all Kesha's fault, that old woman, always meddling and starting wars just because she was bored. But why did she have to pass that bad habit onto the young angels?

Zhang Zheng glanced at the disappointed faces of Angel Leng and Angel Lingxi and then shifted his gaze to Zhixin. "Well... Zhixin is still young; maybe there's hope," Zhang Zheng thought to himself.

He felt that, despite their many good qualities, these angel girls were just too combative. Whether it was his sweet and innocent Zhixin or the seasoned Angel Yan, they all had this problem. Now, seeing Angel Leng and Angel Lingxi, Zhang Zheng guessed that Ah Zhui and Moy might be the same. When he watched the anime, he didn't think it was an issue since they were fighting for Earth. But in reality, seeing them like this was a bit much for Zhang Zheng.

This is Earth, after all. Other secondary gods might not have much destructive power, but angels are different. They have devastating abilities like the Flaming Bombardment and the Celestial Blade Judgment. If they start fighting on Earth and use those abilities, the consequences would be catastrophic.

Zhang Zheng wasn't being overly cautious. He remembered in the original story, Angel Yan used the Celestial Blade Judgment on Morgana, and even though it didn't hit Morgana, it did strike Earth. The anime didn't describe the aftermath on Earth, but Zhang Zheng was sure it was at least a nuclear-level attack, considering the Celestial Blade Judgment draws energy from a star.

"Tch, fine. If we're not needed, we're not needed. As if I really wanted to fight for Earth anyway," Angel Leng said dismissively, though her disappointed expression betrayed her true feelings.

Zhang Zheng didn't pay much attention to Angel Leng's words. "Zhixin, you three should stay home or stick close to me for the next few days. Especially you and Lingxi, Leng," he said, his tone more serious. Although he was speaking to Zhixin, his words were clearly meant for Angel Leng and Angel Lingxi. He was genuinely worried that Morgana might target them before Kesha arrived on Earth.

If something happened to them on Earth, it would give Kesha an excuse to start a war with Morgana here, which Zhang Zheng was determined to prevent.

"Hmph," Angel Leng huffed, ignoring Zhang Zheng. Angel Lingxi, although disappointed about not being able to join the fight, wisely chose not to argue with Zhang Zheng.

"Alright, don't be too disappointed. When the war begins, I'll take you to the front lines to watch, okay?" Zhang Zheng offered.

Zhixin remained silent, but Zhang Zheng could tell from her finger movements that she was contacting Divine Kesha. "This little traitor," Zhang Zheng thought, feeling an urge to spank Zhixin.

"You all stay home. I'm heading out for a bit," Zhang Zheng said to Zhixin before leaving the house.

...

Zhang Zheng didn't use any teleportation or special powers after leaving. Instead, he walked slowly, deep in thought about the upcoming war. Unconsciously, he found himself at the entrance of a library. As soon as he reached the door, he heard Morgana's voice from inside.

Initially, Zhang Zheng didn't want to get involved, but when he heard words like "kill" from inside, he couldn't help but enter. It was already dark, and the library was nearly empty, except for a shop assistant lying on the ground. Zhang Zheng could tell the assistant was dying. Morgana was there, muttering something to herself, something about her sister and not being able to resist.

Zhang Zheng didn't pay much attention to what Morgana was saying. Just a few hours ago, he had started to see her in a slightly better light, but now, here she was, killing an innocent person right before his eyes. Anger filled Zhang Zheng's mind, and his fists clenched involuntarily.

"Morgana..." Zhang Zheng growled through gritted teeth.

The Infinity Gauntlet appeared on Zhang Zheng's hand, and a portal opened behind Morgana. Zhang Zheng flew through it, grabbed the still-distracted Morgana, and took her with him.

...

In the vastness of space outside Earth, a flash of blue light appeared as Zhang Zheng and Morgana materialized in the starry void. By this time, Morgana had come to her senses. Seeing Zhang Zheng's red eyes, she felt a twinge of guilt.

"So what if I killed one person? You're not going to start a full-blown war with me over this, are you?" Morgana said, trying to act nonchalant, though her voice carried a hint of uncertainty.

Morgana was wrong, though. This time, Zhang Zheng wasn't interested in talking. Violent lightning surged around his body, and the Infinity Gauntlet glowed with a purple light, turning the blue lightning into a deep violet.

As he swung the Stormbreaker, the purple lightning roared toward Morgana. This was Zhang Zheng's most powerful attack, apart from using his Sentry powers. With the Power Stone's amplification, even Zhang Zheng wasn't sure how strong this strike would be.

Caught off guard, Morgana was struck by the lightning, and her godly body began to char. "Ahhh!" she screamed, but the next second, her body disintegrated into ashes, scattered across the universe.

Zhang Zheng watched, his expression unchanged, knowing that Morgana wouldn't truly die. He wasn't yet able to use the Soul Stone's abilities; otherwise, in his current state of fury, he would have erased her soul entirely.

Sure enough, Morgana reappeared moments later, fully restored but looking somewhat disheveled. Although her godly body could regenerate quickly, her clothes could not, and she stood naked before Zhang Zheng. But the sight of her alluring figure stirred no emotions in him.

"Morgana, you've broken our agreement again. Do you really want to start an all-out war with me?" Zhang Zheng said coldly, his anger somewhat subdued after his outburst.

Morgana didn't respond directly, instead summoning a new set of clothes from her wormhole and putting them on. Then, she looked at Zhang Zheng and said, "Kid, you're not seriously going to start a war with me over one ordinary person, are you?" Though she asked, her tone was full of certainty.

Morgana was convinced that Zhang Zheng wouldn't go to war over an ordinary person. But she was wrong this time. Zhang Zheng was determined to teach her a lesson.

"I heard that time-space genes are your lifelong obsession?" Zhang Zheng asked, his eyes fixed on Morgana.

"What do you intend to do?" Morgana asked, now clearly unsettled.
