Earth, Zhang Zheng's Home
Di Leina and Angel Yan were sitting across from each other. Di Leina had a serious expression, while Angel Yan wore a playful smile.
"Are you going to come and beat me up for delaying your training, little girl?" Angel Yan asked with a hint of mock fear, though her smile betrayed her true feelings.
Di Leina, unimpressed, shot back, "Not yet, you old witch."
Being the Sun Goddess, Di Leina was not used to such disrespect and wasn't going to take it lying down. Her response made Angel Yan's smile twitch with irritation. Angel Chui, feeling angered, was about to step in, but Angel Yan's glance made her retreat.
"If those little brats can't even train properly on their own, I suggest you make an early escape," Angel Yan advised with a tone of mock concern.
To Di Leina, Angel Yan's concern sounded more like an insult. Di Leina decided to cut through the banter and get to the point.
"So, what is the purpose of the angels coming to Earth?"
Di Leina, having lost the verbal sparring match, was ready to move on. Though she didn't mind losing to Angel Yan, she wanted to get straight to the matter at hand.
"The angels' goal is to ensure that Earth remains under the banner of justice, given its exposure to various cosmic powers. However, since Zhang Zheng is already the primary deity of Earth, we angels won't interfere further," Angel Yan explained.
"However, the Demon Queen Morgana's appearance on Earth means that angels won't let her off easily."
Unlike in the original story, the angels were not too keen on meddling in the war between the Titans and humans now that Earth had Zhang Zheng's support. Intervening would go against the order of justice.
With the pressure of Earth's situation off, Di Leina and Angel Yan's conversation became more relaxed than in the original story.
"Have you considered developing the angelic aspects within the Galactic Force?" Angel Yan asked with a grin.
"I can't develop it myself!" Di Leina responded. The gap between Earth's civilization and angelic civilization was too vast to understand angelic matters.
"It's simple. You can try loving him. Angel hormones might help," Angel Yan said with a teasing tone, revealing her old habits now that Zhang Zheng wasn't around.
Di Leina shivered at the thought of such a scenario. "Why would I ever love that loser?" she replied with a touch of arrogance. As the Sun Goddess, she could consider the fully realized Galactic Force, but not the current version of it.
"Actually, I could play matchmaker for him," Di Leina said with a smile, her thoughts turning to the Rose Operation and formulating a plan.
Angel Yan noticed Di Leina's sudden change in mood but chose not to probe further.
"Say goodbye to Zhang Zheng for me. We three won't wait for him to return."
Angel Yan looked back at the place she had stayed for a few days, contemplating the changes that might occur next time she visited. It might be her home or even destroyed by her and Zhang Zheng.
Knowing she couldn't defeat Zhang Zheng, Angel Yan felt her pride as an angel was at stake. She glanced at the familiar house one last time, a hint of nostalgia in her eyes before it quickly vanished.
With a flap of her wings, the angelic trio disappeared from Zhang Zheng's home.
Di Leina, watching the angels vanish, smiled to herself, then locked the door and joined A Jie to head back to the Super God Academy.
In the Clouds, Angel Yan Reports to Queen Kaisa
"Queen Kaisa, both the Super God Academy and Zhang Zheng have declined our assistance. Zhang Zheng said he would welcome you if you visited Earth, but if you came to judge Morgana, it would be better not to come as Morgana would handle it herself," Angel Yan reported honestly without embellishment.
"By the way, Queen Kaisa, we learned about the three divine projects: The Light of the Sun, the Galactic Force, and the Noxian War God," Angel Yan said, hesitating slightly at the mention of the Galactic Force.
"Galactic Force—see if he is worthy of you," Kaisa asked, recalling what she had said to Angel Yan before.
"Queen, after what happened on Earth, it's impossible for me and the Galactic Force to pursue anything further," Angel Yan said, referring to the incident at Zhang Zheng's home. "Please compare my data with other sisters' data."
Knowing her body had been seen by Zhang Zheng, Angel Yan felt she could no longer give herself to another man. It was against her angelic purity.
"Oh... Well, alright. But Yan, you're over 7,000 years old and not getting any younger. Look at Zhixin; she found a deity at just 500 years old. Although that little guy is a bit of a rascal, overall, it's still quite good," Kaisa said, lightly teasing Angel Yan about Zhixin.
Angel Yan's expression darkened when Kaisa mentioned Zhang Zheng. Even though she knew last night's events weren't Zhang Zheng's fault, she was a girl, and despite being over 7,000 years old, she still had the tendency to misplace her anger. Zhang Zheng became her target for this misplaced ire.
"Queen, Zhang Zheng said Morgana has appeared on Earth and has upgraded to the fourth-generation divine body," Angel Yan reported, recalling the meeting between Zhang Zheng and Morgana.
"Oh, Morgana returned to Earth?" Kaisa said, quickly connecting the dots. "As I suspected, she's looking for trouble with that little rascal Zhang Zheng."
"No, Queen Kaisa. Morgana just went to discuss matters with Zhang Zheng. They should have met by now."
"Should we be wary of Zhang Zheng?" Angel Yan asked Kaisa, concerned about any potential deals between Zhang Zheng and Morgana that might involve tricking the angels.
"No, Yan, you're overthinking. From what I know of these two, they won't last five minutes without fighting. Just keep an eye on any changes in dark energy around you; don't get caught up in their mess," Kaisa advised, knowing Morgana's temper and Zhang Zheng's recklessness.
