Caidan watched how his mother's world shattered into pieces, as she cried her heart out for the lost of the mate bond. He was not sure what to feel about it.
But, there was one thing that Caiden was finally clear about, it was the meaning of what Khaos said. He was going to test his loyalty. This was a test and he didn't think he could pass, when he witnessed his mother's anguish and agony.
The urge to rush away from this pack and then looked for Khaos was so great, even though he didn't know what he would do once he met him.
It was pretty difficult to decide whether he had to hate him, or he stood by his loyalty to him, just like what he had promised Khaos confidently.
How he would react when his assumption was right about what had happened to his father. Caiden didn't think he could handle the emotion. He didn't trust himself with his own reaction.
