Currently, Khaos and Zuri were lying in bed, in Zuri's bedroom. The alpha went straight to her room, instead of his when he heard she skipped her dinner, and they ended up having this discussion.

 

"Two thousand warriors are not enough to launch an attack, especially when the River Creek Pack is one of the main packs in this kingdom, but it's enough to make it look very serious," Khaos explained.

 

"Silas will be a horrible alpha," Zuri grimaced. "Rhett is better."

 

"We are not looking for someone better, but someone who can be controlled."

 

Zuri thought about that for a while and realized what he meant, she grimaced. "I don't like politics. It's messy and manipulative."

 

Khaos chuckled. "If you knew how to play your cards well, it would be just as interesting as how you handle business."
