The way Zuri trusted Khaos was a blind faith. She looked so happy to be with him, to be close to him, to be in his arms.
"Tell me everything about Rhett," Khaos said lightly with Zuri nestled in his arms and both of them stared at the window, where the snow fell from the sky. It was afternoon, but the sunlight was dim and pale.
"Rhett?" Zuri raised her head. "Do you want to know about him?"
Khaos caressed her back, traced his hand on her protruded spines. No matter how hard he tried to keep her eating normally, apparently she kept throwing up without him knowing it and now after more than a week she fell unconscious, her body had turned into twig. She was so skinny to the point, Khaos became very cautious to even put the weight of his hand on her body. He could break her so easily.
"What do you want to know about him?"
