Chapter 19 - You're Also a Hidden Class?

Hidden class?

Lufan was surprised, thinking this young Miss Qin was quite gifted to have awakened a hidden class as well.

But whether that class was powerful or not, he could only find out after they exited the secret realm.

After Qiu Qiu's introduction, the others also shared their levels and classes. The members of this small team were all quite high-leveled, mostly around level 20.

Especially Gu Xiang, who was already a 28th-level swordsman, just two levels away from his second job advancement.

And the team composition was quite balanced - a swordsman, two mages, an assassin, an archer, a knight, plus Qiu Qiu's hidden class that could both support and deal damage.

After the others introduced their classes and levels, Lufan thought for a moment, then revealed his own level, but kept his class hidden.

"I'm level 14, and as for my class...you can just consider me a swordsman for now."

Wielding a greatsword, it was reasonable for Lufan to claim he was a swordsman. But by hiding his true class and saying "you can just consider me a swordsman", his words carried a certain ambiguity.

The perceptive Qiu Qiu immediately guessed, "Could it be...you also have a hidden class?"

Lufan didn't hide it, nodding, but didn't explain what his class was.

The moment Lufan's hidden class was revealed, the other team members started looking at him differently.

Hidden classes were rare, with only one in a thousand people possessing one. And generally, hidden classes were stronger than regular ones. Once discovered, they would be desperately sought after by various academies and powers.

Gu Xiang's impression of Lufan completely changed. He looked Lufan up and down in surprise, "You actually have a hidden class? With your age, you shouldn't be that old, right? At this level, and with a hidden class, you should be heavily recruited by many academies. How come you're just...no, wait, you're not a material collector!"

Gu Xiang suddenly realized.

Lufan smiled, shrugging, "I never said I was a material collector, did I?"

"I'm just a freshly job-changed student, coming out to grind levels and earn some pocket money by collecting materials on the side."

"You...you're a freshly job-changed student?!" The others were astounded again.

Especially Qiu Qiu, her beautiful eyes filled with disbelief.

She had come to the Stone Mountain Plains to level up as well, bringing a large entourage from the Qin family to form a leveling party to support her.

Even so, she had only reached level 13.

But Lufan, who had just job-changed together with her, had somehow reached this deep into the Stone Mountain Plains and was even higher leveled than her!

Could it be that his monster-killing speed was even faster than being leveled by her retinue?

Qiu Qiu couldn't help but feel a sense of defeat for some reason.

Gu Xiang's shock was no less than Qiu Qiu's.

As an old hand, he could tell Lufan wasn't lying.

After all, to be able to solo-grind in an area with level 18 monsters rampant, without being a powerful hidden class, he would have died long ago.

And for someone so young to have a hidden class, there was no way he wouldn't be heavily recruited by academies.

So Lufan's claim of being a leveling student, rather than a material collector, was highly credible.

Gu Xiang's guard against Lufan relaxed significantly, and his attitude became more amiable.

He grinned, patting Lufan's shoulder, "Haha, you're right. It's just that your appearance looked so disheveled, so we initially took you for a material collector."

"But since you're not a material collector, that's good. You know, those material collectors can be quite unscrupulous, and we really don't want to deal with them if we can avoid it."

Pausing, Gu Xiang said in a serious tone, "Since you're also a student just like Miss Qiu, we should take care of you a bit. After all, your combat experience and strength should be a bit lacking compared to us."

"Alright, Xia and I, the other knight, will take the frontline, and you can stay in the second line with Cai'er to protect our backline."

"Of course, if you want to focus on dealing damage, you can join our first echelon too. But the first line is quite dangerous, and Miss Qiu's healing output isn't quite as good as a true cleric, so be careful."

Lufan had no objections, nodding, "No problem."

"Mm, then let's get ready to depart," Gu Xiang nodded.

After that, Gu Xiang subtly gave Cai'er a look.

Cai'er understood, slightly nodding.

Although Lufan claimed to be just a student and was highly credible, Gu Xiang still kept a watchful eye to protect Qiu Qiu. If Lufan showed any signs of trouble, the assassin Cai'er would be the first to subdue him.
