Chapter 12 - One-Shot Kill, the Hegemon of the Stony Plains

"Ugh-" With a cheerful dragon roar, Little Night glided from mid-air, its tail lightly sweeping across the Blood Gray Fox.

A crisp "snap" was heard, and the Blood Gray Fox was directly smashed to pieces, with countless meat chunks flying up into the air.

Little Night's mouth was quite skillful, it turned around in mid-air, precisely finding the most delicious heart from the meat chunks, and swallowed it in one bite.

One-shot kill!

Although he had already expected this scene, Lufan still couldn't help but get excited.

Truly the dragon clan, they are really too powerful.

Previously, when Lufan encountered the Blood Gray Fox, he had a headache, because even if he could win against this level 10 fierce beast, he would definitely be injured. Now, in front of Little Night, this Blood Gray Fox didn't even have a chance to escape, directly being smashed to pieces and becoming Little Night's meal.

The originally perilous Stony Plains suddenly had no danger at all for Lufan.

Joke, with Little Night here, directly steamrolling through would be fine, right?

After eating the Blood Gray Fox's heart, Little Night was still not satisfied, and cried out in the air, asking Lufan if it could go hunt in more distant places.

Lufan smiled and waved at it, "You can go if you want, but don't go too far."

"Ugh-" Little Night cried out excitedly, happily flying towards more distant areas.

In just a short while, they heard the "Aooo aooo aooo" cries of begging for mercy from a level 12 monster Plains Hyena, followed by another crisp "snap", and the Plains Hyena's howl abruptly stopped.

With Little Night's attributes, monsters below level 20 should all be one-shot killable.

Lufan could sense that as Little Night consecutively killed two monsters, both he and Little Night gained a large amount of experience.

Lufan originally planned to just dig up the treasure map and then go back, but now he decided to stay in the Stony Plains for a few days.

There was less than a week left until the big exam, and many students were using this time to frantically grind levels to boost their combat power.

Although he had Little Night, Lufan was certain that the top 10 universities in the country, in their fierce competition to recruit him, would have to fight tooth and nail. But Lufan still wanted to become even stronger, and win the provincial top student award for his region.

Because once he became the provincial top student, the region would provide the examinee with generous rewards.

So no matter what, he had to at least raise Little Night to level 10 first, right?

Lufan decided to delve deeper into the Stony Plains, hunting some higher-level demonic beasts, to level up himself and Little Night. When the time was about right, he would then return.

So Lufan shouted towards the distant Little Night, "Little Night, let's go to another place, let's find stronger, more delicious fierce beasts."

"Ugh!" The excited voice of Little Night came, then a sound of breaking through the air as Little Night flew over, directly hanging onto Lufan.

Lufan was speechless, thinking, you have a pair of wings, why are you still so lazy, always wanting me to carry you?

But what could he do about his own dragon cub? Just have to spoil it.

So, one person and one dragon, under the setting sun, headed deeper into the Stony Plains.

...

Soon, four days had passed.

In the depths of the Stony Plains, the towering rocks and boulders, with some bushes already reaching one or two meters high, the terrain was far more complex and dangerous than the outer area.

This was because many active predatory monsters lurked here, and their levels were all above 25.

Generally, only monster hunter teams of around level 30 would dare to venture here.

"Massive Jaw Strike!" With Lufan's command, the wings of Little Night, now nearly 8 meters wide, plummeted from the sky, its red-glowing jaw violently smashing into the body of a crimson three-headed lion.

"Roar-" The three-headed blood lion, already covered in black scorch marks and wounds, could not withstand such a heavy blow.

Despite its sturdy physique, it was still sent flying by Little Night's Massive Jaw Strike, crashing to the ground and coughing up blood, not moving after a few struggles.

"Well done!" Lufan smiled slightly, praising the now several times larger Little Night in the air.

"Ugh-" Little Night, praised by Lufan, excitedly flipped over in the air like a child.

At this moment, a golden light suddenly shone on Lufan.

This made Lufan happy - had he leveled up again?

It made sense, this three-headed blood lion was not a small fry, it was a level 25 quasi-BOSS monster, and was also the hegemon in the depths of the Stony Plains.

Defeating it provided enough experience for the nearly leveled up Lufan to level up again, which was very normal.

In these four days, Lufan led Little Night on a rampage, killing all monsters over level 20, providing Lufan with a huge amount of experience.
