After everything was done, though Enkidu's mood hadn't fully recovered, it was much better than before.
Ophis didn't disturb Enkidu, who was still squatting in front of the stone tablet, lost in thought. Instead, she picked up the golden key that had been left aside and walked into the cave.
As soon as Ophis entered, she sensed some kind of magic being triggered, but she didn't know its effects, so she shattered it.
It was probably a defensive barrier, but being a dragon, Ophis's energy resistance was beyond that of a god. This level of magic, whether for buffing or damage, had no effect on her.
Ignoring the magic, Ophis proceeded to the end of the cave.
It was called the end, but in reality, it was just pitch black. No matter how far Ophis went, the darkness remained, even if she turned back.
───The space here is completely distorted.
This must be the final trap for any intruder.
Thinking this, Ophis followed the sensation from the key and pushed it forward in a random direction.
To her surprise, half of the key sank into a golden ripple.
Ophis clenched her hand and turned the key.
Suddenly, golden ripples erupted, and the world around her transformed accordingly.
The key in her hand merged into her body and vanished.
Gold──this was Ophis's first impression of the new place.
Gates, walls, floors, roads, buildings, and decorations were all made of gold.
If that was all, it would be mere opulence. Ophis could create something like this by exhausting Uruk's resources if she wanted.
But as she moved forward, she discovered something else besides gold.
Countless gems were scattered across the floor, each with immense value. Just picking up one could make you richer than an entire country.
There were also many gold nuggets mixed in.
Though Ophis, as a dragon, had a natural affinity for such treasures, she remained indifferent. Her personality was the most detached among dragons.
When she reached the stairs at the end of the square, her eyes lit up.
Here, human wisdom was crystallized. This level was filled with treasures of every kind: those for land, sea, and air travel, items for daily convenience, battle gear, and ceremonial magic tools.
Even terrifying weapons like nuclear bombs that could obliterate entire cities were included.
Naturally, this level was a labyrinth of treasures. If fully opened, it would likely exceed Uruk's capacity.
After admiring this level briefly, Ophis moved on to the next.
If the previous layer showcased human wisdom, this one exuded a menacing aura that felt like it could cut through the body at any moment.
Countless weapons were displayed on pedestals or floating in the air.
There were knives, spears, swords, halberds, axes, hatchets, hooks, forks, sickles, and more—offensive weapons, restraint chains, shields, and armor.
Ophis didn't linger and proceeded to the next level.
The following floors were all dedicated to storing weapons.
Initially insignificant to Ophis, they now felt like a strong threat. Many of these Noble Phantasms exuded a powerful presence.
However, the number of weapons had dwindled, and the spatial distortion was no longer present. There were only about a hundred remaining.
───If judged by the standards of this world, they should all be ranked above A.
Among them were even mythical weapons, such as the Great God's Declaration.
...If they could be wielded at will, Ophis could claim to possess 70% to 80% of the Norse pantheon's combat power.
However, this was impossible.
Such powerful weapons had high requirements for their users.
It's not just about having a vast amount of magic power—though that's partly true, as Ophis has ample energy. More importantly, it requires a fitting mind.
The sword chosen by King Arthur broke when he made a mistake, showing the high spiritual requirements of such treasures.
A holy sword shines only in the hands of a noble person. A knight's sword is wielded fully only by someone with knightly justice. A saint's sword can only be drawn against an enemy that 'really needs to be defeated.' And weapons of the gods require divinity.
Not every weapon demands a perfect match of mind, but any deviation will diminish its power and effectiveness.
For instance, the Great God's Declaration, Gungnir, is a true sure-hit weapon with power comparable to Meteor Thunder. In the hands of true gods, it can even pierce fate.
Though Ophis gained divinity after replacing the fate of the King of Heroes, she is still not a god. Using such a weapon would likely be less effective than Big Dog's Gae-Bolg in many ways.
...Though luck might tip the scales in her favor.
In summary, while everything Ophis saw belonged to her, she couldn't fully control it.
With that in mind, Ophis turned her gaze to the stairs leading to the final floor.
───This must be the last one.
It was just a hunch, but Ophis was sure and took a step forward.
Unlike the previous layers filled with countless treasures, the last one contained only three pedestals.
On the pedestals on the left and right were two identical golden swords.
On their own, each was just a very sharp sword.
Yet, the aura of destruction emanating from them was palpable.
───If the two swords were combined, they would have the power to annihilate an entire civilization.
Summon the star of destruction and flood the world, just like in the Bible.
This was the effect of these treasures.
───End Sword Enki
That's what Ophis named them based on their known fate.
As for the one in the center…
It might be called a sword, but whether it truly is one is debatable.
It had a hilt and guard and was about the length of a longsword.
But its design was unconventional: three cylinders tightly connected, with the blade twisted into a spiral shape. The cylinders wound together like a chain, creating an alternating pattern.
It could no longer be considered a sword... Something born long before the concept of "sword" existed in the world couldn't have a traditional sword shape. It was made by God before creating humans, embodying divinity that witnessed the world's creation.
───Sword of Separation
This was Ophis's name for it.
