The tunnel walls trembled as dust and debris rained down, a cacophony of deep, thunderous roar that echoed through the narrow space. Riley was thrown against the wall, barely catching himself as the ground continued to quake beneath him.
The air was filled with the smell of decay, making it almost impossible to breathe, however none of them thought much of this. Escaping was all that mattered to them, if they could make it out of the city and head to Madrid or London, then they would have plenty of fresh air to breath.
Coughing from the dust, Riley wiped the dirt from his face and gave a wry grin... he looked around and could not suppress the evil smile on his face. "Well, this is just fantastic," he muttered, pushing himself to his feet. "Nothing like an explosion to spice up our leisurely stroll through the nightmare city."
